Of course, Max had not came into work or talked to his girls that entire time due to the incident that occurred at the Hazbin Hotel. Even though, Charlie was extremely apologetic about it, most couldn't blame her because he got triggered by his own trauma.
With the girls, they were actually at Max's apartment They were pounding on his door to get him outside to talk to them. Stolas, Blitzø, Millie, and Moxxie were also with them as support as they got worried.
Martha:"MAX! Open up the door!"
The owl ex-prince was looking at the apartment building he was in. He hooted in astonishment.
Stolas:"Wow, his side hustles pay him a lot."
In front of her, Milky saw that the window blinds were shut fully and showing no inside of the apartment. That was until someone or something peeked from the blinds at all of them.

Milky:"Holy shit!"
The figure stared at them before they realized that it was Max peeking at them with a mask on?
But, he went back inside of the apartment while closing the blinds again. Beelzebub just stared at the window as she was heavily confused by this behavior.
Beelzebub:"Okay, what the fuck is this?"
Vorexia heard the door unlocking as they saw Max for the first in a while. He wore a mask similar to his human skin tone with his facial features and was in a white shirt, some black pants on. His hair was also seen as its natural curly form.
Max motioned for them to come inside as they all took in his appearance. He only watched them come in before shutting the door and quickly locking it. They all saw that he had, what people would call an 'excessive' amount of locks on his doors.
Blitzø:"Well, I can see that you keep your place secure Max!"
The man just turned around to the imp and just stared at him with nothing, but his eyes showing. It was silent for a while as he walked around his apartment while getting some items together.
One of Verosika's friends and his girlfriend cleared her throat and looked at the man while chuckling nervously.
Kiki:"It's g-good to see you Max!"
He seemingly ignored her as Max kept walking through the small apartment. Beelzebub sensed his aura was happy, but it was mixed with something else inside. It was weighing heavy on the boy.
Ozzie:"We were wondering what you've been doing for this past month?"
Again, Max didn't answer. They got worried as he walked by them with an assault rifle in his hands and putting it in a bag. He zipped up the bag as he took it to his workout room.
