My eyes widened. Did he seriously just say we're going on Ellen?
Clearing my throat a bit, I said, "Um, Greyson, can I talk to you?"
He nodded. "Sure thing, sweetie,"
Taking my hand, he led me upstairs to his room. Thinking about it, this was the first time I've actually been in his room. All the things I've heard we're true. Three of the walls painted white, and one wall was black. The black wall was the one his bed was against, and 'Fix You' lyrics by Coldplay were stuck on the wall above his bed. I smiled at his creativity.
But, getting back to my point.
"Ellen?! We're going on Ellen?!" I exclaimed. His eyes remained on mine.
"Melody, I know I probably should have talked to you first-"
"Yeah, you should have!"
He just shook his head again. "Honey, listen to me. Wouldn't this be a good way to let the fans know?"
Considering it, it actually wasn't a crazy idea. "But, are you sure about letting the whole world know?"
Greyson let out a little chuckle. "Sweetheart, once the fans figured it out, the whole world would have probably figured it out,"
"True,"
Greyson snaked his arms around my waist and kissed the tip of my nose. "Are you okay with it? Are you comfortable with going on national TV?"
Letting a grin form on my lips, my arms made their way around his neck. "That's the deal when you're Greyson Chance's girlfriend, isn't it?"
He just chuckled again and kissed my lips.

"He wants you to go on Ellen?"
I was sitting at the kitchen table, Kendra sitting across from me, sipping from her coffee cup. As we sat down for a drink, I explained to her Greyson's plan.
I nodded, sipping on my lemonade. I was never really a big fan of coffee. "He thinks it would be an easier way to tell the news to the fans,"
Kendra, setting her cup to the side, reached across the table and took her hand in mine. "Melody, are you okay with this? I mean, once it's out there that you're dating Greyson Chance, you're going to be out there, it's going to change your life,"
"I'm willing to take those chances to be with him. I'm happy with him, and I don't want something like this to break us up. I want his fans to know I'm his girlfriend. I'm his fan too, I would want to know if he was with somebody too."
Kendra stayed silent for a moment. "You really like him, don't you?"
My lips curled into a smile. "More than I've liked anyone,"
Kendra giggled a little. "Oh, teenage love."
Giggling along with her, I flipped my hair over my shoulder. Kendra eyed me for a moment. "What's that on your neck?"
My eyes grew wide. I forgot to wear Greyson's hoodie. It was a blazing hot day, okay?
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Your mad, aren't you?"
Kendra again, was silent for a moment. I was terrified that she would just freak, ground me, forbid me to ever see Greyson again.
Okay... Maybe I was exaggerating.
Then, she did something I didn't expect her to do.
She laughed.
"Sweetie, I'm not mad," Kendra replied. "You're a teenager, it happens. That's all that happened... Am I correct?"
Immediately, I nodded my head. "Yeah, that's all,"
My aunt put a smirk on her face. "Honey, if this ever happens, you don't have to hide it from me. Just don't let it happen often,"
"I promise,"
Kendra, snickering, got up from her chair and came over to my position, and hugged me.
It's official, I have the best aunt ever.

Greyson rang me up later that night, wanting to know if I'd want to go out with him that evening. I eagerly accepted. He didn't tell me where he was planning on taking me, but I just found it to seem more like an adventure.
Digging through my closet, I decided to just go casual this time, I decked all out for out first date, and this one I just want to go natural. I know Greyson admires girls like that. I threw on a pair of capri pants and a grey shirt with a pink scarf. As I was sliding on some sandals, I made my way to the door in kind of a hopping matter. "Kendra!"
I heard her holler back, "Yeah?"
"Come here!"
As I listened to the sound of her footsteps coming down the hall, I slid my right sandal on my foot. Kendra entered my room a few seconds later. "Yes?"
My eyes went up to her. "Can you help me curl my hair?"
"Well, sure," She said, grabbing my curling iron I turned on to warm up as I sat down in my chair. "What's the occasion?"
I smiled. "Greyson wants to take me out tonight,"
"Ah, I see," Kendra began parting my hair to begin curling it. "Where are you going?"
"I have no idea,"
She laughed. "A secret I see,"
All I could do was smile.
--------(Le skipping curling of hair because you guys do not want to read me rambling on;b)
Around 6 o'clock, a knock was heard at the door. I quickly answered it to find Greyson on the other side, wearing his classical Bob Dylan shirt and black skinny jeans. He was also wearing his leather jacket.
"Looks like all you're missing is your sun glasses, mister Slick," I joked. He just let out a laugh.
"You look lovely this evening," He said, planting a peck on my cheek. That boy always knew how to make me smile.
"Bye Kendra!" I yelled over my shoulder as Greyson lead me out.
I heard a faint "Have fun!" From somewhere in the apartment. She was probably working on another painting.
Greyson took my hand. "You ready?"
I nodded. "Where are we going exactly?"
"You'll find out," he said with a sly smile. And he lead me down the hall.
