The moment was surreal. Standing in front of the entire school, my lips pressed against Greyson Chance's, who I could officially call my boyfriend again. In the back of my mind, I was horrified I would wake up, dart up in my bed, and look around, realizing it was all a dream.
Greyson's kiss felt too real to be a fantasy. It brought that same electric shock through me it always had. Maybe it was just from not seeing him for three weeks and we both were heartbroken. You can't argue love, I guess. When his lips parted from mine, our eyes fell over the other students gaze, who were all cheering and I could hear the older grade levels boys whistling and hollering. A blush spread my cheeks, making my face feel hot. Greyson lightly chuckled under his breath.
Taking my hand, Greyson and I whirled around and made our way over to my principal. He glanced down at Greyson (because somehow he was still taller than Greyson), and a small smile formed on his lips.
"Follow me to my office." He directed the two of us, and we nodded simultaneously. Without glancing back, we trailed behind the taller man as he led us into a small room with a metal desk with two swirly chairs in front of it, and a larger one behind it.
He gestured for us to take a seat, which we accepted. Greyson's hand immediately connected to mine again, which caused me to smile.
Mr. McCartney (I'm listening to the Beatles... Hehe I love you Paul.) took his place behind the desk. It was silent for a moment before he chuckled softly, and Greyson and I both glanced up at him.
"What you did just then young man was probably the sweetest thing I've seen any boy do for anyone." Mr. McCartney spoke with a slight chuckle in his voice, like he didn't know if he believed this was real or set up.
Greyson nodded. "Thank you, sir."
"You know, Melody here is a very well behaved student." Mr. McCartney explained as if he were talking to a parent, "she's never gotten into trouble, is a very well mannered girl, very intelligent as well. You've got yourself a keeper."
My cheeks were burning as my gaze directed towards my scoffed up Converse. Greyson laughed softly. "I'm very glad to hear that, thank you very much. I'm very lucky to have her."
Even though I wasn't looking up, I could feel the principals gaze on me. I got used to that somehow. "Ms. Rana, I am allowing you to be released early, since I understand your circumstance."
He actually was an awesome principal, I don't understand why many people didn't appreciate him more. "Thank you, sir."
I looked up at him to find him smiling. He patted my arm gently. "Have a good weekend you two."
Greyson and I hitched a ride from Stix, who kept attempting to embarrass Greyson the whole ride to my house. It was cute to see Greyson blush and hide his abashed face in his hands. I giggled and rubbed his leg, insuring him I found it adorable. Now he knows how I felt when my aunt and mother always embarrassed me.

We pulled into my driveway and I could hear the sound of tires hitting the gravel. We both thanked him and exited the car. Greyson wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek.
I opened the door to immediately be greeted by my mother, who when she saw Greyson and I, smiled widely.
"I'm gonna make an educated guess here and say everything worked out?" She asked. I nodded, smiling. My mother squealed and came over to hug us both.
Sometimes, my mom could act more girly than I do. Is that scary?
I think in the back of my mind, my mom was already aware that we would get back together. It was almost like she knew of Greyson's plan. Maybe she did; he is a sneaky little devil after all.
"Not to be rude, but could Melody and I talk privately for a moment?" Greyson asked. My hear turned to meet his, but he just squeezed my hand tighter.
"Oh, of course!" My mother exclaimed. "Take all the time you two need."
Greyson nodded in a thank you and we stepped up the stairs and walked into my room, shutting the door behind us.
As soon as the door shut, Greyson embraced me in his arms, pulling me close to him. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry for everything."
He pulled away a bit, but still kept his hold on me, like he was afraid to let me go again. "I love you so much; I don't want to let you go again."
"I love you too." I whispered, and kissed him sweetly.
Greyson led me over to the bed where we sat down. Greyson took my hand, rubbing his thumb into the back of it. "Let me just say I love you, and only you. Anything with Alli that you read was completely inaccurate. Yes, I did take her out to coffee, and yes I did hug her, but I NEVER meant it like I meant it with you. She took my hand, I didn't take hers, I wasn't thinking, I don't know, I'm just afraid of losing yo-"
My finger pressed to his lips. "Greyson, I forgive you. All couples go through these types of things. I love you."
Greyson smiled and when I removed my finger he kissed me sweetly. "Never leave me again."
That night, Greyson stayed over for dinner. Ellen had given him a week off to come sort things out with me. I needed to thank Ellen, and I never thought I would be able to say that. Momma made spaghetti, which she knew I loved. She always just understood how to make my day go even merrier than it was.

As we sat around the table and dug into the meal, my mother spoke up. "I'm very happy to see you two back together."
Greyson smiled. "So am I."
I giggled and looked over at Greyson, who smiled widely like a child in a candy store.
Looking back over at momma, I could tell she wanted to say something, but didn't exactly know how to go about it. "Mom, you okay?"
Mom sat her fork down. She took in a deep breath. "I think you should go live in Los Angeles with Kendra."
