"What happened? Did they do anything to you? How are you back here? Are you okay?" Emily rapid-fired.

Stacy snickered. "I was drugged, so I don't remember what happened. I'm assuming they didn't do anything to me, considering I feel fine. I'm back here because the guy with the red skin took me back. And I'm okay." Stacy replied. Emily finally let go of Stacy, giving Elliana a chance to jump up and hug her.

"Thank god you're okay. I don't know what we would have done without you." Elliana said.

Elliana had woken up to a scream from Emily. She'd woken up with a jolt, thinking that Emily had been in trouble. But then she saw Stacy, and she was pretty sure that she'd never been happier in her entire life.

Elliana had invited Emily and Stacy over after school, just as she had every day in the past two weeks since Stacy had returned. She'd figured that recently, they hadn't been hanging out much after school. Elliana had been living with Emily, but the three of them still went to Elliana's house sometimes because it was bigger, and far away from Emily's sister. Elliana didn't mind Emily's sister, but Emily's iron-strong will hadn't left space for argument.

This time though, she'd invited Jason. She hadn't seen him in a while, and she wanted to get to know the new him. Did he still act the same?

Which was what she said to herself the first time she'd invited him. Now she just said that she wanted to have a single conversation with him without being interrupted.

She hadn't told Emily and Stacy though, but they were far from surprised when a knock sounded on the door. Elliana peered through the window before opening the door. It was Jason, but being three young girls home alone, she had to check. She flung open the door.

"Hey, Jason." She said. "Come on in."

"Hi. Thanks for inviting me." Jason said.

"You're welcome. We've got chips in the TV room. You hungry?" Elliana asked.

Jason nodded and they entered the TV room. "What are you guys watching?" He asked.

"Mean girls." Stacy said. "Ever watched it?"

Jason shook his head and plopped onto the couch. Stacy restarted the movie, but none of the girls minded. They'd only been ten minutes in, anyway. The four of them laughed and chatted about the movie for a long time.

Regina had just been hit with a bus when Elliana's phone rang. She paused the movie to answer it, setting it on speaker phone.

"Hi, Elliana. Is Jason there?" Ryan asked over the phone. Her voice sounded weirdly strained, but Elliana couldn't place why.

"Yeah, he's here. What's up?" Elliana asked.

"Uh, could you tell him that it's happening, please?" Ryan said. She finished the sentence with a sound almost akin to choking, which she covered with a cough at the end.

Elliana looked at Jason, who's eyebrows were raised in what looked like concern.

"What's it? Are you okay?" Elliana asked.

"Yeah, I'm," Ryan cleared her throat. "I'm fine, but... can you just tell him, please. He'll understand."

Elliana began saying something else, but Jason interrupted her. "I'm on my way."

"Thanks." Ryan said, hanging up the phone. But not before a loud sound that sounded almost like she was laughing.

Elliana sat, staring at the phone, confused.

"Thank you so much for having me over. I had a lot of fun." Jason said. It sounded genuine, but it was awkwardly rushed. Before Elliana could reply, Jason glittered away.
