A/N Second last chapter guys!!!!

Stacy winced as Elliana pressed the bag of peas to her temple. "Ow," Stacy muttered.

Elliana removed the bag and ran a hand over Stacy's temple. "That's gonna bruise."

"Shoot." Stacy muttered.

Emily tossed something from her makeup table without looking at it. "That's what foundation's for, honey."

"This is highlighter, Em."

Emily looked away from the mirror and at Stacy. "Sorry Stace. I'm just really trying to get this wing." She twirled the eyeliner in her hands.

"I don't know why you bother with that. It's a pretty intense look for school." Elliana said.

"This isn't for school. It's for Emma Fraser's party tonight." Emily waggled her eyebrows.

"Who's Emma Fraser?" Stacy asked, swatting away Elliana's hand, and by extension, the pea bag.

"No idea. But she's rich, so the party's gonna be awesome."

Stacy snickered.

"I don't know if I'm in the mood for a party, guys." Elliana said.

"Okay." Emily said. "We don't have to go. We can read books and watch rom-coms and be nerds. That's fun, too."

Stacy nodded. "If you don't want to go, we don't have to go."

"I mean, if you guys want to go, you don't have to take me."

"Yeah, not a chance. We're not going without you, Ellie." Emily said.

Elliana thought for a moment. She was tired, but a party sounded fun. She just had a weird fear. Frankly, she was afraid that she would meet some guy, like him, and date him. But she didn't want that. The breakup wound felt fresh, and she didn't want to meet someone. That was a dumb fear though, wasn't it? None of the guys who went to these kinds of parties were the kind of guys that she would ever date. She'd gone to these parties before and while she'd been dating Jason, and she'd never been afraid of it. So she shouldn't be. So she'd go.

"You know what, maybe I will go." Elliana said.

Stacy grabbed her hand. "You sure?"

"Yeah, don't let us pressure you into it." Emily said.

"No, that's not it. I'm gonna go."

"Yay!" Stacy said.

"But don't think that gets you out of this." Elliana said, placing the pea bag on Stacy's forehead.

"Ah! Warn a girl!" Stacy winced.

"It's good for you." Elliana laughed.

Stacy rolled her eyes and held the pea bag up against her temple. Surprisingly, Cole ran into the room at that moment.

"Hey. I came here as fast as I could. I had soccer practice." He sat down next to Stacy on the bed. "I'm so sorry about kicking you."

Stacy waved her hand passively. "It's fine. It wasn't intentional."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Let me see." He moved the pea bag aside and looked at her. Stacy blushed. "Yeah, that's gonna bruise."

"So I've been told." Stacy snickered. "I've also been told that highlighter can help."

Elliana laughed. "Why's that funny?" Cole asked.

"Did Ryan never teach you how makeup works?" Emily joked.

"Nah, she doesn't wear makeup."

Elliana rolled her eyes. "She's really pushing the 'I'm not like other girls' thing. I bet she's above parties too."
