*Iofi POV*
After some thinking, I decided what I wanted to do. "I want to climb the tree," I told everyone.
"Okay, go do that then." Moona sighed
Risu gave it some thought. "I think Zeta should go first and then you, Iofi, so I can go behind you in order to catch you if you fall."
Moona glared at the squirrel, clearing her throat. "Are you sure that is the reason?" She asked with an accusing tone.
"Yeah, I mean, what other reason would there be?" The squirrel questioned
"You would be looking upwards at Iofi." Moona claimed
"Yeah and?" Risu said
"You'd get a full view of her!" Moona yelled
I thought about what she was talking about and realized Risu wanted a full view of my dumpy "I don't really mind..." I said
Moona grabbed a hold of me and stared into my eyes, saying, "Trust me, you will."
She grabbed me tightly, causing my heart to stop. Both of them are so cute.
"Are we climbing the tree or what?" Zeta asked
"Yeah, actually, Iofi, if you want, I'll carry you up until we get to a safer part of the tree," Risu stated.
"No, I want to climb in the order you said."
Risu seemed shocked by that, but she smiled, looking back at Moona one last time, but her face was hidden, so I couldn't see her expression.
Zeta jumped up, grabbing a low branch, and pulled herself up. "Woah..." I commented.
Risu laughed, saying, "We can try that."
I jumped up, trying to grab the branch, but I missed and fell back down, only to be caught by Moona. "Thank you!" I said to the moon goddess
"Be careful..." Moona scolded
"I will, thank you again."
Risu led me to the base of the tree and watched as I began to scale it. As soon as I was high enough up, she followed close behind me.
"Race you to the top!" Zeta said before disappearing up the tree.
Risu gently touched my back. "Don't rush"
Her words were soft and gentle, making me calm down a bit. Zeta's sudden challenge threw me off, but as long as I scale the tree at my own pace, it should be fine.
"Slow and steady," She mentioned.
I expected to get yelled at for scaling the tree too slowly, but not once did Risu complain as I finally reached a secure branch to sit on.
"Look down," Risu mentioned.
I stared down and saw Moona; she was so far down from here, practically out of sight from where we are.
"This tree is amazing." I commented
Risu crawled over to me and wiped the sweat off my face with her hand. "This is my favorite hangout spot," she claimed.
I noted that since it seems like she has fun climbing things and likes nature, she really is an interesting girl and funny as well.
"Do you need more of a break?" She asked
"No, let's go," I said.
Risu nodded, and we both began to climb up the tree again. Risu followed close behind me until we got to the top. It took you long enough, Senpais," Zeta said.
"Oh-Hush..." Risu sighed
Zeta overlooked the town and squinted her eyes. "I think Ela is there." She said
"So, do you want to meet her?" Risu asked
"Yeah, well, it is a date," She said.
"One that you are late for..." I said.
Zeta glared at me and said, "Senpai, stop it." She said
Zeta had an air of cuteness to her that made me feel bad for teasing her.
"Here is the plan. Iofi, we can get ice cream on both of the paths up ahead; the left path is longer and the busiest path; we may run into someone on the way; meanwhile, the right path is shorter, and we will get ice cream and get to Kaela faster."
Risu gave me two interesting options. Do I want to take a longer, busier path or a shorter, more run-down path?
"Is the ice cream better on one of the paths?" I asked
"I don't have a preference; this is completely for you." Risu stated
I need to give it some thought: do I want to wait in a line for ice cream? "Is the ice cream different?" I asked
"Yes, I think the left side has soft serve and the right side is more solid," Risu said.
"I want ice cream. Can you buy me some senpai?" Zeta asked
"Sure..." Risu sighed
"Horray!" Zeta cheered
Risu looked at me and rummaged in her pocket, pulling money out. "What is this?"
"It is a form of allowance. I was telling Moona that we shouldn't leave you on the planet without being able to buy anything, so we will give you a cut of our money." Risu explained
Now I feel bad. I don't want to take their money; maybe I should try to get a job. Maybe what they do for a living would be fun.
Anyway, Iofi, what is your decision? Or do you want to wait until we are a bit closer to the paths to choose?" I was asked
"Uhm-Can we wait?" I asked
"Sure... and Iofi, can you get on my back?" Risu asked
"Yeah, why?" I questioned
"I don't want you to fall and get hurt, so I'll help you down," She told me.
I did as told, and Risu slowly began to descend the tree. "Are you having fun so far?" She questioned
"Thanks for asking," I giggled.
"I'm glad that you are happy... I feel like I am a little overbearing, and I apologize if I make you upset or if I irritate you."
Risu's words shocked me as we touched the ground: "Are you alright?" Moona asked me
"Yeah-I am just struggling to make a decision," I told her.
Now what should I do-go on the right or left path? I don't know
