*Iofi POV*

My UFO landed on the ground and docked onto the Earth's surface. I opened up the ramp and took my first steps out onto the planet, looking around slowly at the scenery. The blue sky and the lush green plants threw me off. There were a lot of conflicting noises all around. I don't know what to listen in to and what to tune out.

Maybe I should try to find someone to talk to. Interaction may be good for me to try to understand what Earth is all about, but would I understand their language? I have no idea. I saw a nearby sign. They seemed to speak Indonesian here, which I could handle on my planet. They actually speak Indonesian, which is a funny coincidence.

I walked down a rural-looking path, gazing around for people, but no one seemed to be prowling. For some reason, I was alone in this forest with no one to help me with my survey. I continued down the path until I reached a bustling town where people roamed.

I inched forward as an odd aroma hit my nose. I walked over, seeing that there was some sort of street vendor selling something called Kue. I had never heard of anything like that before I snuck up to the stand and took some of the food off of it and ran away before anyone noticed, and I popped it in my mouth as I began to chew. I noticed that it was kind of crunchy and it was sweet. It was honestly one of the best snacks I have ever eaten.

"What is this?" I asked out loud, to no reply.

I decided I would put this in my memory banks for later, and I would move on to survey more about this planet.

I am shocked that the lifeforms on this planet are similar to my people; if I remember correctly, they are called "Hu-Mans." I said out loud, "What an odd word to say, Hum-ans?" I tried to say the word again, this time with a level of uncertainty. None of those sounded right: "Humans." I finally said that sounded more accurate, but I thought that word sounded dumb to me. "Humans" was the dumbest-sounding word ever.

I looked around at all the markets, and none of them seemed like they were any use to me. After all, I don't really know what most of this stuff is for since I'm not from around here.

All I need to do is find someone and talk to them, but all these people seem odd to me, like they don't seem like they would want to talk to me; they don't seem inclusive whatsoever.

All I can do is continue down the path. People began to look at me, seemingly dumbfounded by me.

"Hey, are you from around here?" A woman asked

"No, I'm not; I'm actually an alien. Can you help me with my survey?" I asked in a straightforward manner.

The woman's face twisted in disgust, and she walked away. Do people hate honesty on this planet? I wondered

Maybe I need to talk to someone else and they'll help me with the survey, but it seemed the other humans overheard the earlier conversation and were trying to stay away from me.

"Are all human ears linked?" I wondered

I didn't know how they all heard the conversation. Maybe humans have trouble communicating. It would seem like some of these creatures are dreading interaction. I can feel their emotions deep down. A man walked up to me and began inspecting me. He gently caressed his chin while sizing me up.

"You just seem like a crazed woman," he coldly stated.

"No, I'm an alien!" I retorted

The man rolled his eyes and growled under his breath. "Sure you are," he scoffed with annoyance.

"I really am an alien; I'm telling the truth!" I loudly spoke.

"Look, I get it. You think you are funny, but you are in public. Leave here, or I'll get the authorities involved," the man told me.

The authorities? So this planet has hierarchy too. I wonder if this planet also has prisons, probably if they have an authority system.

"Sorry, I'll be on my way," I politely said.

I walked away, still feeling the glare from that man. He didn't seem nice. Everyone on this planet is just mean. It seems so far that no one is taking me seriously, and they are just being rude to me for no reason. I'm obviously not from around here, so why can't they cut me some slack?

In front of me, I saw a woman talking to a shop owner. She made my heart skip a beat.

She was a long-haired, purple-haired woman; her hair had yellow highlights, and the beautiful locks shimmered like a beautiful galaxy. She seemed to be a natural beauty and was around the same age as me. My heart was telling me that she was going to be nice to me.

I went to approach her but paused as my device linked to my ship began to blink. Someone was near my ship. I looked back and tried to decide whether or not I should go back to investigate the scene and move my ship or if I should go talk to the gorgeous woman before me.

I didn't want to have to go back through those people to get to my ship; however, if anything happens to my ship, then I won't be able to leave this planet after I finish the survey.

The unidentified life form near my ship could just be an Earth animal or something I shouldn't worry about, but at the same time, it could be one of those authorities that the man from earlier was talking about.

On the other hand, if I don't talk to that woman in front of me, I may never get answers to my survey.

What should I do?
