Radiant Lines

I love seeing the morning light on your skin,

when you open the window blinds

your figure is traced in radiant lines,

then soft daylight takes you,

and all your movements suspended

in slow motion it seems,

a flow of motion for me,

towards my lips

for morning's kiss.

The radiant lines

from cracked window blinds

makes gold-edged art

painted by God in that moment,

a painting for me,

being all in that moment I see.

I forget if it's summer,

I forget if it's fall,

the brilliance of day

covers you all,

head to toe,

and by each day

does love deeper grow —

sunshine curves,

radiant lines,

though future and past

deep in our minds,

of life together,

I treasure a small moment

of clear morning weather,

seeing my sweetheart

opening the blinds,

sunlit countenance

traced in radiant lines.
