Chapter 23

"Red!" Tawag ulit sa akin ni Oliver.
Patuloy parin sa pagsigawan ang ibang students habang iba naman ay nawalan na ng malay.

It was unsettling, and the heavy air made it difficult to breathe. Coughing, I tried to make my way through the darkness, but it felt like I was being swallowed by the smoke.

"G-gray..." Halos hindi ko na mabanggit ang pangalan ni Gray dahil sa hirap na pagginahawa.

"Red! Kailangan nating makalabas rito!" Oliver's urgent voice reached my ears. Through the haze, I could see his silhouette, and I followed his voice as he led us towards the nearest door.

My heart raced in my chest, and I was worried. Gray had to be found. The notion of his DID acting out in this hectic circumstance heightened my nervousness. I screamed out his name, but my voice was hardly audible over the sounds of the crowd.

"T-TULONG!" Sigaw ng karamihan ngunit tila walang nakakarinig sa amin mula sa labas dahil sarado ang pintuan.

"RED!!" Tawag ulit sa akin ni Oliver pero hindi ko siya pinapansin.

"Gray!" I yelled, my throat sore from the smoke. Panic threatened to consume me as I searched desperately for him.

"Red ano ba! Kailangan nating makalabas rito!"

Hinawakan ako ni Oliver at hinatak papalapit sa kanya.
"Oliver, kailangan natin tulungan si Gray!"

"Red, mamamatay na tayo tapos siya parin ang iniisip mo!"

Halos hindi ko na marinig ang sinabi ni Oliver dahil sa ingay ng mga tao.

Then, through the haze, I saw a faint glimmer of light. It was coming from Gray's direction. Sinundan ko iyon at nakita si Gray na tila natatakot. His DID was indeed acting up, and it was evident that he was struggling to regain control.

"Gray, are you okay?" I asked.

Hindi siya sumagot kaya mas lalo akong nag alala. Palagi akong nililigtas ni Gray sa tuwing nasa panganib ako kaya kailangan ko rin siyang tulungan.

I reached out and grabbed his hand, trying to anchor him to the present. "You can do this, Gray!" I assured him, my voice filled with determination.

Sa totoo lang ay alalang alala na ako na ako sa kanya. Hindi kami puwedeng magtagal dito kasi kumakapal na ang usok. Hindi ko na rin makita sina Clark at Melize.

"RED!" Tawag ulit sa akin ni Oliver.

Hindi ko na siya pinansin dahil nakatuon ang pansin ko kay Gray. He's struggling.

"Gray, listen. Kailangan natin makalabas rito!" I said, trying to keep my voice calm despite the chaos around us.

Gray nodded, but his eyes were far away, immersed in his mental conflict. I stretched out and held his hand, attempting to keep him in the present.

"Gray, nandito lang ako. You can do this. We'll get through this together," I assured him, my voice filled with determination.

Oliver returned to us. "Red halika ka na!"
He's grabbing me pero nagpumiglas ako.

"Oliver, kailangan nating tulungan si Gray!" I blurted out.

"Potangina naman, Red!"

Wala siyan nagawa kundi alalayan kami. Hindi niya rin naman ako mapipilit na hayaan si Gray.

"Tulungan mo ako para makalabas na tayo dito."

He helped us through the dense haze. We made it out of the room and into the corridor with his assistance, where the air was slightly clearer. The smoke was still billowing, and the fire alarms were blaring, heightening the sense of urgency.
