    HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED

    It was bizarre how this air-conditioning system was making me feel like I was paranoid. In ten minutes, I had moved to and fro the switch and my seat a couple of times, knowing full well that I had regulated it to heat the room, yet the temperature in the room was freezing.
    The sheer maternity dress I had on only intensified how cold I felt, causing me to wrap my arms around myself.
    The increase in the downpour and the sudden strike of thunder nearly had me jumping out of my skin. The TV and the lights went off at the same time, plunging the room into darkness.
    My heart rate quickened.
    "Blood of Jesus!"
    On a normal day, I probably wouldn't read much meaning into this, but the fact that we lived in the middle of nowhere heightened my fear. Not to mention being all by myself by this time of the night.
