The Final Episode
Carol's POV
It was time for the final taping. I felt that this was the best decision for the cast and myself. We needed to go our own way (and I'm not only talking about the Fleetwood Mac song). I just feel that in order to have growth we have to have some independence. That's how I felt about Harvey's success to the sudden downfall; it was dependent on me that he made it big, but since he wasn't our regular it wasn't the same because the audience just wanted us all together as a family.
Harvey showed up for the last taping. He wasn't in any skits but I'm glad he was here for support.
By the middle of the show I started to feel that surreal feeling like graduation where you're happy but sad that it's all over. Then it was time to get back on stage for the second half with Tim.
"Hello," Tim said. I was wondering why he was being so awkward since he's supposed to read the cards in front of him. "Carol?"
"Yes Tim?"
"We've had this fellow come by the studio for quite some time now with his piano and I think we should let him play now." I was so confused as to what was going on until.. the curtain went up and there he was! My favorite actor of all time Jimmy Stewart was here !! Right here!! Was I dreaming because this is a remarkable dream!!!
After he finished his song on the piano I gave him a hug and just couldn't believe it and Jimmy told me that he spoke for everyone in the whole world that everyone loves my show and were glad to be a part of it. This was the best way and sign to end the show.
Later it was time to dress into my well known character the Charwoman one last time. I was walking out of my dressing room into the backstage corridor to get ready to wish my fellow cast mates goodbye and say so long to the audience. When I was saying so long to the dancers, Harvey appeared at the end of the line and gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked off. I was surprised and happy. Next I said goodbye to Vicki and Tim. Then I went to the edge of the stage and sang.
"I'm so glad we had this time together, cause it makes me feel like I belong.."
Harvey's POV
As she was singing I couldn't help but think of all the memories that has impacted all of us. I have to admit I'm starting to blubber like a baby just watching this. Backstage I also said my goodbyes to Vicki and Tim. I knew both of them wanted to leave as soon as possible to avoid the waterworks.
Carol's POV (still singing)
"Seems we just get started and before you know it, comes the time we have to say.. So long."
"Goodnight, Thank You!" I managed to utter out without my tears getting the best of me.
As soon as I walked out the studio, Harvey met me outside and he gave me a big hug as I sobbed.
"I love you so much, great job out there," he whispered in my ear. I smiled a little, nodded and continued to look down. "Did I do the right thing?" Harvey smiled and nodded. "Come on lets go," he said as he grabbed my waist and walked me to his car.
Author's Note
Omg you guys I'm so sorry I've been procrastinating on writing these chapters. So much has been happening like a few days ago I saw Paul McCartney again AGH! He's so beautiful. Anyway I also made some videos that go well with this story but I have to upload it on youtube apparently in order for you guys to see it on here. I'll probably post them by the end of the story. (:
