"5 minutes until we're live Ms. Carol!" Called the station manager.
"On my way!" I wasn't particularly in a great mood tonight. Usually I'm ecstatic for the beautiful fans to view our show. But I couldn't stop thinking about the argument I had with my husband Rodger. I needed to be out there quickly to get my mind off of it.
Theme music starts to play.
I walk out, shake off the nerves and I'm ready to have fun.
"Hi! Good evening!! I think we have a great show for you guys tonight with our regulars Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway. But first let's here some questions. Yes," I pointed to a girl down in front.
"So if you ever had a bad day how do you perk yourself up?"
"Oh like today?" I respond wittingly. "I don't know just the love to perform for you guys would cheer anybody up."
I answered a few more questions then I said "Okay we have a great show, stick around, we'll be right back."
"And cut. Go change Ms. Carol."
That was a strange coincidence that that girl asked me that question. I remained in a daze until I bumped into Harvey. "whoop!" I laughed.
"Sorry Darling," I gave him a quick peck on the lips before I went to wardrobe. I've always liked the way his lips felt... Did I really just think that? Okay shake it off Carol. It's only a friendly kiss like usual. Time to get ready for the next sketch.
