i just want to say thank you for reading this fan fic that literally took years of crafting, this fic literally all started because of a little crush i had on donnie as a child and again as a teen and again as an adult (ofc the aged up ones n strictly that) and part of me looked back at this book and realized that some of you deserve the happy ending most fics don't get due to not being finished from no longer having an interest in the fandom or just stopped all together with no explanation, i didn't want to do that to you guys, for those who have been here since the beginning, i literally love ya'll, i remember the convos we've had and idea sharing we would do for our books. As for new fans... heyyy! welcome! hope you guys loved this fic, I know lore is a little crazy BUT it's what happens when you enter a new era of tmnt and love it. This note isn't necessarily a goodbye, it's more like a "i'll still be around in case i have more ideas", unfortunately, i haven't had too much motivation in writing but lately c.ai and chai and the many, many, MANY edits of our lovable purple guy (pun intended if u know fnaf) have been slight inspirations to write again. If i do decide to write again, the Donatello in this universe will be aged up meaning you'll be reading about future Donatello, and reason why is because i REFUSE to write about a literal teenager, kaoso.tmnt also known as truffle if you're familiar with her art best explains it. Check out their art for they have amazing work (must be 18+). Aside from that, wow this feels so bittersweet, but like I said, I have ideas and I've been working on my own artwork mainly for funnies cause real work takes true commitment and i applaud every artist out there for their hard work. As soon if I get to hang up things, I'll start my stories, that's if i decide i want to write again it'll most likely be one shot scenarios because those are always fun, completed fics are always fun but they do unfortunately take time to craft and manage, not saying it's a burden, it's just alot to work with. But enough about that, we will see what happens, i really enjoyed writing this. To give a full background story of why i started, i literally could not find one story that caught my attention, some did, some didn't. Because it was 2014 at the time and tmnt 2012 was still running on tv, everyone was obsessed with 2012 Donnie, granted all of us were teens at the time, and most stories i've read consisted of (y/n) stealing Donnie from April, Donnie forgetting about April immediately, or make (y/n) a nerd of some sort to match his personality, (y/n) immediately falling in love, just to summarize, it was very just a story that wouldn't really make sense, Now i'm not saying my book is perfect god no because looking back 14 year old me wrote some pretty cringy stuff cause what teenage girl didn't. After reading fic after fic and not finding one that was completed or just wasn't it, i made the choice to make one for those who has the same interests as i did, so i made my own Donatello x Reader, my description still lives up to how i feel. Those who know, around 2016-2017 I stopped writing, just cause the phase of loving the tmnt slowly went away yet it always stayed in my heart (long story short, i grew up watch tmnt since i was a toddler cause my dad and his brothers were and still are tmnt fans cause they grew up watching '87 tmnt and this me and my cousins always loving each and ever iteration of the tmnt from 87'- now) (2003 was also the year i discovered my first fictional crush on Donnie by literally saying "i like the purple one") up until rediscovering again the fandom in the new era of tmnt (also known as ROTTMNT) literally all bc of an edit, since then, i dug up my old wattpad account and decided to finish my once beloved fic, and now that i have, i couldn't be anymore happier. So again... thank you all for reading and appreciating my work, this is NOT a goodbye, we'll simply just see each other around. i love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart <3.
