Talia found her way to Diego's bedroom after finding the pain meds. She glanced around the room at his decor and memorabilia. She had met the family but this was her first time in his childhood bedroom. She saw the display cases of knifes hung on the wall, along with his old mask. She saw a few old posters from the academies golden days. Heck, she even saw a tween magazine from years ago with Diego as the cover. "Wonder how he convinced Reginald to let him do that?" Talia chuckled to herself.

"I never told him. Lied and said it was a regular interview and not tween heartthrob." He said leaning against the door frame. "He never read the magazines so he never found out."

"'Diego Hargreeves favorite activity; saving lives and stealing hearts.' That sounds exactly like you." Talia read from the front page before placing the magazine back down. She sat down on his bed and he joined her. "I'm sorry about all of this. I know it's difficult."

"How'd you do it?" He asked looking over to her.

"Do what?" She asked confused about the question.

"Run away without looking back." He said and she sighed. She'd have to talk about that night one day or another and she was glad it was with Diego.

"Fear and guilt. After I realized what I had done I ran and didn't think about anything else. Every cop car that drove by me was a reminder of what I had done. I watched every news story about me, especially the ones where my mother or grandmother spoke. I wanted to go home to them so badly, but if I did I could risk hurting them again. My grandma was lucky enough to make it out with no injuries but my mother broke her wrist and pulled her back out. I don't think I could face them without feeling immense guilt."

"Wow. I didn't realize..."

"You're the first I've talked to about it. I've kept it to myself for sixteen years."

"Hey." Diego said, taking her hand in his causing her to look up. "It's not your fault."

"It is. If I hadn't taken the stupid choir class I would've never been there and no one would've gotten injured."

"Then you would've never made hit songs. You would've never made it on the radio or had your own tours. And worst of all...you would've never met me." That caused her to laugh. 'There's that smile.' Diego thought to himself.

"Oh god, could you imagine. I wouldn't be scared if it's you in my house or an intruder." She joked.

"You're never gonna let me live that down, are you?" He asked and she looked at him.

"Absolutely not." She smiled. The two looked into each others eyes for a long time. Both of their smiles slowly faded as they both began to lean in without realizing. Diego's hand subconsciously started lifting it's way up to her face. They both slowly closed their eyes as they kept moving forward. Diego would finally feel euphoria again after eight long years. Talia would finally feel the lips she had been missing for eight years. Just as they were about to kiss Klaus barged in.

"Oh! I seem to have interrupted something." He said once the two jumped apart.

"What do you want Klaus." Diego said angrily.

"I was just wondering if either of you had seen the bubble bath?"

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously! I want to wind down and a nice soothing bubble bath is the best way to go."

"Top left of the cabinet in the bathroom." Diego sighed.

"Thank you." Klaus said before he left towards the bathroom.
