Talia was sat with Diego in the lounge as she redid his bandage. "So, what, you just let her go?" Diego asked.

"Well, Vanya had a lot to process. She'll come around. I know she will." Five said under his breath.

"What about the guys that went after her?" Talia asked, still wondering who these guys were and why they were attacking everyone.

"The Swedes?" No one noticed Lila avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, I mean, how do you know they won't go after her again?" Elliott brought out some coffee and tea for everyone.

"We don't."

"Any idea who sent them?" Lila asked after taking a sip.

"Oh, I have my suspicions. But right now, our priority is finding dad and getting answers, 'cause everything else depends on it."

"Which, for the record, I found him already."

"And then let him go before we could have a meaningful conversation."

"He stabbed me."

"I'm surprised he waited this long, Diego. We've all had the urge."

"Amen to that." Talia said under her breath.

"What?" Diego turned to her, shocked at the statement.

"You left all my shit on my doorstep along with a note telling me we were over. You can't be that surprised."

"Yeah."

"Good thing I know where dads gonna be tonight." Five said before handing the invite to Diego.

"Where'd you get this?"

"While you were getting stabbed we found it at his office. In fact, it was right before five got his new bald spot."

"'Hoyt Hillenkoetter and the consulate general of Mexico in Dallas cordially invite you to a gala...'" Elliot chirped in once he heard the name.

"Whoa, wait. Hoyt Hillenkoetter? Are you serious?"

"You know him?" Five questioned.

"We should go." Lila gasped as she read the invite. "Says there's gonna be a seafood tower."

"No, Hillenkoetter is...is one of the Majestic Twelve."

"The hell is the Majestic Twelve?"

"It's a...a secret committee. Uh, scientists, military, uh, deep state. No one knows what they really do."

"So they're government?" Diego grunted as he tried to sit up.

"Shadow government. Yeah, Kennedy was the first president to try and push em into the light, but these guys are not to be trifled with. Oh, here we go. Ah, right here." Elliott said once he found what he had been searching for. "That's Hoyt right there." He pointed to the man on the far left of the picture.
