Talia and Caleb sat with Allison and her husband at dinner. "So, Caleb. What do you do?" Allison asked as she cut her food.
"I work for the bank on thirty first and commerce." He said, nervous as hell. One good thing about Talia not remembering anything was that he never had to meet her parents. Except for now, when he has to meet Allison.
"That's not bad. You watch any sports?" Raymond asked trying to lighten the mood.
"Baseball and basketball. I'll watch the occasional football, but it's not for me. Did you catch the basketball game on Thursday?"
"Heck yeah, did you see that shot Russel made?"
"That buzzer beater was crazy."
"How did you and Talia meet." Allison cut their chit-chat short.
"Ran into her on the street. She dropped all of her things and I helped her pick them up." He told the false story. Allison knew the truth, Raymond didn't.
"Talia, you work at the school right?" Raymond asked Talia her first question.
"Yes. I'm the secretary up front. I usually just make copies for teachers, file some paperwork, and call down kids for the office or to leave early. Nothing too special." She smiled softly, not at all nervous as Caleb.
"Any hobbies?"
"I write some songs on the side. It's usually what I do to pass the time."
"Caleb, come help me with the desert." Allison said and Caleb nodded. The two left the table and entered the kitchen. "I know the truth and I don't like you."
"I figured she'd tell one of you. She said she's starting to remember, so everything will be gone soon." He sighed.
"You can't blame that on her. And you can't be upset about it. You lied and affected her, now she doesn't even know who she's supposed to be with."
"Believe me I know."
"Do you? Or is that why you tell yourself so you don't feel as bad? Last night she cried because she was so confused."
"I know I fucked up. I do love her, I really do. What do you think I should do?"
"Give her time. Let her be on her own for a while. If you truly belong together then she'll come back. If she doesn't then maybe you shouldn't be together."
"Okay."

Diego and Lila peaked over the car as they watched a cop drive by. "This way." Diego said, not really wanting to talk to Lila after the stunt she tried to pull. "Alright, we can't stay here too long. They're gonna be looking for us."
"The cops or those Scandinavian fellas with guns?" Lila asked as they both hid around a corner.
"Both." Diego said before tearing down a clothing line and taking a shirt and pants off. "I'm not going to get very far dressed like a lobotomy case."
