"Why are you burning his wound?" Talia asked as five blinked them both back to the hideout. "And why is he only in his underwear?"
"Oh good, he's alive." Five sighed.
"Disappointed?" Lila asked.
"Oh, to see you? Always."
"So much hostility in such a tiny package." Lila rolled her eyes.
"Up." Talia said gesturing Lila to move.
"Why? I'm his girlfriend, I should be helping him."
"You and I both know damn well that's not true. Plus burning an open wound is gonna make it hurt worse. So, up before I yank you off." Talia smiled wickedly and Lila rolled her eyes. Talia shifted Diego's legs so she could sit next to him rather than straddling him. She grabbed some napkins to clean up the surrounding blood as Lila and five talked to each other about god knows what. Talia grabbed some disinfectant for the wound and wiped it clean as to keep it from getting infected.
"Agh!" Diego groaned when the disinfectant stung him.
"Stop moving before I dump the whole bottle on it."
"Talia? What're you...?"
"Cleaning your wound instead of burning it, unlike crazy lady tried to do."
"Burning it?"
"I'm assuming she tried to use heat as a substitute for stitches, but luckily I carry thread on me at all times." Diego went to question her, but she stopped him. "My head wound used to bust open from time to time so I started carrying around thread in case it did. I never stopped, it became a habit." She said as she began to stitch him up.
"How is it that every time we separate one of us has to get fixed up by the other?" Diego asked as he stared at the ceiling.
"Maybe it's bad luck. We stick together and neither of us gets hurt."
"If this is you're way of asking me to get back together with you then you know I'll say yes in a heartbeat."
"Maybe it is, Diego. You know, I would love nothing more." Talia smiled down at him.
"What about your fiancé?"
"We broke it off. I didn't want to be with someone who lied about my life."
"Thank god!" He shouted before groaning in pain from the sudden movement.
"Easy there tough guy. C'mon let's get you to bed. It's late." She said helping him up and over to the pull out couch. She helped him lay down and get adjusted before she went to leave.
"Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. Where are you going?" Diego grabbed Talias hand before she could leave.
"To change. I would sleep in the same bed as you, but you're all bloody. I'm gonna sleep in that chair." She said before walking away to change. When she got back she saw Diego trying to get up. "What're you doing?"
"You're not sleeping in the chair. You take the couch." He said, pain screwed onto his face as he kept trying to stand.
"Diego, honey, if you think for a second you're winning this argument then you're crazy. Lay down. I will be fine in that chair." She smiled at him before lightly pushing him to lay back down.
