Henchmen

I started at my phone screen as me and Midori walked to school.

"Mhhhh.... Mh?" I mumbled, squinting my eyes at the screen. "(Y/N), why are you looking at your screen like that? Anything wrong?" Midori asked.

I looked at him with sparkling eyes. "Are you concerned about me? Awhh~ thank you~~! My precious little bro!" I hugged the tall boy.

"Wha- I was just asking! Ugh.... This is embarrassing...." he groaned. I let go of him, grinning before locking my eyes back down on the screen.

Midori checked his bag. "Ah, seriously? Uh, I have to go back for a bit, I forgot my wallet. Just... Go without me" he told, not waiting for my response before swiftly walking back to the direction of the store. I looked at him, waving even though he can't see.

I continued to read something on my phone.

"WHAT?!" I shouted unconsciously, before accidentally slamming my head onto a pole I didn't notice.

"Oww...." I rubbed my forehead. All the pain disappeared when I remembered what I read earlier.

It was an invitation to a ball.

I nervously entered the school grounds. Midori still haven't caught up, so I decided to just enter class first.

"(L/N)! Good morning~ Ucchu~☆"
"Wargh!"

I almost launched my phone upwards, surprised by Leo's greeting. "L-l-Leader..... Please don't surprise me like that....." I sighed.

"Wahaha☆! It's been a long time since we greeted each other like this! You look stressed!" He smiled. I scratched my head. "Ahaha, quite so. There's just something on my mind"

"What is it? Maybe sharing it with someone can help! Naru~ told me this!" Leo suggested. "Ehh... I guess it's fine. Here, take a look at this" I shrugged, handing my phone to him.

Leo read the email I received attentively. After a minute, he gasped. "Hahhh! Wowwww! You got invited to a ball? Just like a fairy tale! I'm getting inspiration!" he handed the phone to me and started scribbling on some papers right on the floor.

"L-Leader! Get up, its dirty!"

I decided advicing him is no use. I looked at my phone again.

That's right, I got invited to a Winter Ball of some sorts by Ibara. According to him, Cos Pro and another local girls' idol training school had partnered up for this project. It seems he invited me since I'm a visitor, so it would be beneficial if I have a good impression of them.

Suddenly, a thought hit me. It's a ball. The kind of event where you dress up in gowns, and have all this etiquette, and most importantly, the slow dancing. Good news, I have learned the basics of waltz, bad news, I don't remember them.

"That's an issue.... As for the etiquette, it's probably just common sense, right.....?" I muttered, tapping my chin.

"There you go with that stressed look again! It's making me sad, smile more! Ucchu~☆" Leo jumped at me. "Ahaha.. I'm just thinking, I don't remember how to dance waltz.... Do you know someone that could teach me?" I confessed.

Leo grinned.

I slowly opened the door to a soundproof dance room that Leo told me to meet him at. I'm not yet sure who is gonna be teaching me, but I'm guessing it might be Izumi, since I heard he's pretty good in these kind of things.

Leo's still not here, as I expected. But surprisingly, he arrived just a few minutes after I did, which I thought would take a lot more time.

"Leader! Hello! I'm surprised you remembered" I greeted. "Wahaha! In truth, I forgot, but I told someone to remind me!☆" he laughed.
