Steve's POV
We stepped through the portal and came out in a forest clearing, nothing like the one we were knocked out in... Which was probably a crater by now... Then I remembered something.
"Hey guys, something I overheard while unlocking your cells..." I went over everything I heard between Herobrine and 'Wi' Ryan seemed to be thinking,
"There was something in Minecraftian mythology about Herobrine being nicknamed 'Hero' by other bosses and mobs... And the name 'Wi' was mentioned somewhere too..." He looked at Veronica and Lyra for support but they shrugged,
"I think I heard something called Wi the mysterious figure when I was a child." Said Lyra, "Besides if he's part of mythology then he cant be real."
"But Herobrine's a big part of minecraftian mythology and he's very real." Said Veronica.
"Look lets just focus on finding shelter and the Oasis." Said Alex.
. . .
I was lying awake on my bed in the small cabin we put together. I was thinking of everything. The HTL and that they were on the run, The Oasis of Notch, my lost memories and this 'command block' item and what power Herobrine might have if he had one... Thunder rumbled outside and I slowly slipped out of bed. Picking up a sword and walking out into the night I looked at the monsters stumbling from the trees. I skilfully chopped of limbs, stabbed, slashed, broke, blood flew everywhere and I knew these monsters were in a way getting what they deserved. I spun around and slashed at a creeper from the wait to throat sending him flying back. Then I saw Alex, standing outside the cabin, she realized I noticed she was watching and I caught her blushing as she looked away.
"Sorry I-"
"No, don't worry." I assured her,
"But-"
"I said it's ok." I said, looking down at my sword which was barely holding itself together. "But erm, how long were you standing there?" I asked.
"About ten minutes..." Muttered Alex still refusing to make eye contact. I sat down by the cabin and asked,
"So you know what we might be doing with that command block?" I asked,
"No clue, they wont tell me." She said sitting as well.
"I haven't even asked, but it must be pretty powerful if Herobrine is after it. Heck it can bend Existence to his will!" I said trying not to wake the other three HTL members in the cabin.
"That makes the whole operation so nerve-racking" Said Alex.
"Don't worry, Ryan says that if you keep a cool head and stay calm during stuff like this then your chances at succeeding are higher." I assured her. Alex smiled and closed her eyes, I sat in silence for a while. Then I heard soft but heavy breathing. Alex had fallen asleep. I lifted her up and placed her on the bed before climbing into my own and slipping into sleep. Dreams.
I was standing before Herobrine holding up a green strange block, he grinned widely.
"How's this Steve? I can send you to the depths of the void if I want to!" He began laughing and I lifted a sword that didn't seem to be there before.
"I don't think threats are on your side tonight my friend" He crooned waving the block in the air.
the dream shifted...
I was crawling through a vent, something was behind me... I found an opening and shook the iron bars helplessly. But a force blasted me through taking five hearts... I looked back at the vent and saw black, dark smoke pouring out. then a black strange creature stepped out, he was dark and black on his body, his face had two white eyes like Herobrine's and a long, horizontal lipless mouth.
Wi the mysterious figure...
I woke with a start.
