I jumped back and went to run the other way but Herobrine's men were there too. Coming at us from both angles, we were stuck on the bridge with them. Abbey was brave, she extended her wristwatch into a golden sword and started hacking and slashing. But even with the magical watch-sword, she couldn't break through the black armour of Herobrine's minions. But she was able to defend herself with it, their diamond swords were slashing through the air from all angles. I was unarmed and was forced to run from the blue blades. Abbey was managing to kill a few through chinks in their armour and I picked up a diamond sword. Abbey was sweating now, I slashed at one of the guards and the sword sliced pretty nicely through the armour. The diamond had a much better effect than Abbey's gold. After a few slashes and stabs we were definitely winning, but then the wall next to us exploded. Well let me explain the location to you. To one side was the nether, ocean and all, to the other side was a great black wall concealing more of the fortress. The blocks flew at us and I jumped, did a full somersault and hit the railing on the side of the bridge. I heard Abbey scream from somewhere but I couldn't see through all the flying blocks and dust. When it was done and all was silent I peeked over the railing, Herobrine was standing in the hole exploded at us, his white eyes blazing with fury. His fists were balled, I wanted to turn and see if Abbey was ok but I knew if I turned I would be blasted apart. I stared at him and he roared. A line of fireballs flew at the bridge, I ducked and it hit the bridge blasting me back into the centre. I had hit my head pretty hard, I opened my eyes and looked back at Herobrine, but instead I saw a fireball flying for my face. I shut my eyes tight and waited for the burning explosion. But it didn't come, I opened my eyes and saw Abbey standing over me, she was holding, not a golden sword, but a golden shield, it was large enough to hide her completely from Herobrine's view.
"RUN!" She shrieked, I jumped to my feet and followed Abbey back the way we came and into the fortress away from Herobrine. When I looked over my shoulder, Herobrine sprung from around the corner and I looked forward again putting on an extra burst of speed. Fireballs shot down the hall after us, I wanted to turn and fight but I didn't want to risk being separated from Abbey, she rook a sharp left and I swung around into a potions lab. She began frantically crafting things, on the crafting table and brewing stand. I risked a peek around the corner, Herobrine was moving swiftly towards us. We were trapped like mice!
"SPEED IT UP!" I cried at Abbey, she grabbed my arm, pulled me close and forcefully threw a red potion at our feet. I was overcome by a sudden coolness, she grabbed a TNT block from the crafting table, placed it by the wall and after two seconds in which the golden sword was extending she made it spark. Flash, flash, flash... BOOM there was an explosion that sent me flying back into the hallway behind me, I looked and saw Herobrine, standing shocked for a moment, but he quickly got over it. He started moving back towards me, I was lifted to my feet by Abbey and pulled to the hole in the wall. And off the edge, I was falling, I looked down but was looking up, I was upside down, Herobrine was looking over the edge, fire surrounding him. When I looked up but down, I saw nothing but red hot lava. Abbey and I were plummeting right at it! I shut my eyes tight as the lava came too close and I was submerged in the red liquid.
