Ryan's POV
I dodged Rune's sword slash. I had to be careful around him, he would gladly kill me and this was no game. Not anymore. Maybe this is what the black smoke meant. Maybe it didn't refer to Adam at all, but Rune? I slashed my blade upwards but it felt heavy in my arms. Maybe I'd make a mistake that could end him before Herobrine? I ducked to avoid a sword swipe at my throat, I raised my blade and stabbed, it got a cut on Rune's arm but he simply ignored it. Even so, he showed his anger.
After about two more minutes of even fighting I managed to hit the side of his head with the flat of my blade. He fell to the floor unconscious. I kept going, my footsteps were echoing loudly now. I thought I could hear fighting down below somewhere. It might have been a little back but I ignored it, maybe some people had managed their way here by accident. I turned right and came out into yet another hall. I turned right again and found myself in a large empty room. I turned left and heard a voice.
"I'm not done with you!" I turned and saw Rune behind me, utter, complete fury flashing in his eyes. He didn't extract a blade, or a bow. But a flint and steel. They were used as sparks. I didn't like the way Rune was smiling wickedly. I looked behind him but I didn't see anything. Rune began to move towards me, I moved back flashing my sword threateningly. I felt weak for some reason. As if he had the advantage, which he was showing.
I hit something and turned. A wall of TNT was there, keeping me from moving away from Rune. That's why he was using a flint and steel instead of a sword. It couldn't spark TNT and if he had a bow, it would have to specifically have flame enchantment to have effect. I had to keep him away from these blocks!
I swung my sword at him in desperation to make him jump back. But he jumped to the side, he would have ran past me but I slashed at him and stopped him. His fires were popping up around me, I wasn't going to let him set me on fire. I jumped out of his fiery death traps and tried to land a good hit but fire was on his side. I planned on getting him to have his flint break but after a while he stopped and started shooting with a bow.
I responded to this by dodging as many arrows as possible all the while making my way towards him. Rune was stepping back, soon he would hit the wall of TNT and spark it. I had to make sure that didn't happen. I didn't have anything to make him jump towards me. Maybe if I angered him enough...?
In the end Rune jumped away from the dispenser I'd set off, away from the intimidating wall of red TNT I didn't do anything but waited for him to begin using his sword. Which he did. He ended up grabbing a glowing blade from his pocket and slashed it at me. I defended myself by throwing my own sword in the path of his. But the regular old iron sword wasn't as strong as the enchanted one. But could still win, depending on what Rune's enchantment was.
Oh no, it was sharpness! How do I know? When he managed a good clean cut on my arm is seared and burned with pain. I stumbled back and tripped over my own feet, eyes watering. Swords barely ever got through my skin's iron layer. But sharpness cut clean through it!
"Goodbye, Ryan." Crooned Rune from somewhere, I lifted my head and I saw him standing by the TNT wall.
"Rune, you'll kill both of us!" I said, desperate for him to keep the deadly spark away from the deadlier TNT.
"As long as your gone!" And with that there were flashes, signs of a TNT block coming to life. Ready to split us into one million pieces. Leaving the last sound we hear 'boom' And when that 'boom' came it all went black.......

Herobrine's POV
It was dark, I should have brought night vision. I was swimming to the bottom of the sea, normally the pressure would have crushed me but it was minecraft. And the place I was aiming for was a protected area. My breath was handled and I was inhaling and exhaling perfectly fine. I looked over my shoulder back towards the surface. I could barely see the shimmering light that was the surface of the ocean.
The temple's protectors parted as I moved past, recognising my face and key white glowing eyes. This wasn't their business at any rate. This was between me and the elder. I managed my way into the temple and got the usual effects. I swam around looking for him and found him in player form sitting in the exact centre, blowing bubbles in the water and stroking his guardians as if by instinct. We could get so peaceful when we weren't being attacked or attacking.
But this guy, even in his peaceful nature. Was fading. See, being bosses, we need to be believed in and fought. If not, we would shimmer and fade. And this guy was like the keeper of the ocean. If he faded there would be no ocean. But if he was killed he would come back in a few years or so.
I looked at his appearance, grey body, one eye and yellowish spikes on him. He was looking at the stone floor of his temple. His figure shimmered and vanished briefly before reappearing looking extremely weak.
"Are you ok?" I asked my friend.
"Yes, fine." Said Eld innocently, don't let his calmness fool you, if he gets unexpected guests. He could get pretty aggressive. "Why have you came here?" He asked changing the subject.
"I seek help." I said, smiling.
