Danny's POV

I ran out onto the stage and shouted out to the crowd. They were screaming wildly and many girls were professing their love to either me, Mark or Glen.

There were Irish flags being waved about and banners that had been made. I loved doing shows. Especially when the crowd sang along because I feel so happy that they take the time to learn the words to the songs I write.

I knew Amy was in the crowd because I saw her backstage with Mark and another girl but I only saw the back of her head. Unfortunately, I did not have time to find out because I was called to the stage.

We got to the last 3 songs and we were nearing the end of Before the Worst. The next song was Walk Away.

I wrote this about Ally, from all those years ago. She is probably married now. Amy and Mark don't tell me anything about her though.

I began to sing and I was looking through the crowd until I saw Amy. I smiled at her but my gaze moved to the girl next to her. I recognised the face but couldn't put my finger on it so I left it.

The lady next to them was a bit on the plump side and was shoving a hamburger in her-

No! It can't be. Not after this long. She couldn't be here now could she?

I looked back at her. She was absolutely breathtaking, she was still beautiful and hadn't changed a bit. I held her gaze as I continued singing the next line. Amy was nudging Ally and smiled at me knowingly before we hit the chorus.

The lyrics were the words I used to break up with Ally. Will she remember?

Suddenly, Ally started shaking her head violently and started to push through the crowd. Once she got to the small path at the side of the standing area, she started sprinting away.

I dropped the microphone and the crowd gasped. I couldn't care less though as I ran off the stage and out into the open air. I found my way to the front of the arena just in time to see Ally run out the front doors and collapse on the floor.

"Ally!" I shouted and in seconds was by her side, crouching on the floor. She looked up at me for a while before breaking down into sobs again. I hugged her tight and wrapped my leather jacket around her. I had managed to pick something warm up on my mad sprint at least.

"Long time no see huh?" I asked her once she had calmed down a bit. She just let out a shaky laugh and looked up at me.

"Danny-I-I-" she stuttered and I cut her off by kissing her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and her body melted against mine. It was like we were two pieces of a puzzle, made for each other.

She pulled away and looked at me. "We can't do this" She ran a hand over her face in exhaustion.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"Danny, I'm engaged!" Ally exclaimed, stomping her foot slightly in frustration. This broke me in two. Of course she would be engaged, she was beautiful, funny, smart. She was probably engaged to a really handsome man who had known her for 2 years and then asked her to marry him on a romantic trip to the Caribbean.

"Oh shoot" Was all I could say.

"It was so lovely seeing you again Dan. You are a great musician and I really love your songs." She said before standing on her tip toes and kissing me lightly on the cheek.

Then, she left me standing there. I watched her walk away like I told her to do all those years ago.
