Ally's POV
I picked up the ticket I bought off eBay before heading to the concert. Luckily, the person selling them lived half an hour away from my house so it was easy to collect.
I got dressed in my black jeans and a red top and put my black boots on. I quickly did my make up before running outside to my car. I had 2 and a half hours to get to there. The Aviva Stadium was only 30 minutes away but I wanted to get there relatively early so I could get to the front.
I sped out of my driveway and turned the radio on. Ironically, Nothing came on and I was humming along to calm my nerves. I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel in impatience as the traffic light turned red as soon as I reached it. "Fricking traffic!" I muttered under my breath.
As soon as the light turned green, I stepped on the gas and drove quickly to the stadium. I got out of the car, slammed the door and locked it before turning to leave. But I couldn't. I had shut my stupid jumper in the stupid car door.
"Oh my god!" I shouted before realising I was unnecessarily getting worked up. I took a few deep breaths and closed my eyes before unlocking the car and freeing myself.
I successfully managed to get a space right at the very front and let out a sigh of relief. Random people kept on running back and forth, tweaking the set making sure everything was perfect. The stadium filled up rapidly and soon enough, the lights dimmed and the support act began.
After an hour, Danny, Mark and Glen bounced onto the stage. I clapped and cheered with everyone else, trying to make eye contact with Mark. Finally, I caught his eye and he cheerfully smiled and waved he went to point me out to Danny but I shook my head. He understood and went back to putting his attention on his guitar.
When they got to Walk Away, I listened to every single word. It took me back to when we were younger and I remembered the break up clearly.
At the end of the show, I received a text from Mark: meet me at the corner of the stage after everyone has gone. M xx
So I waited..... and waited...... and played doodle jump to take up the time until the last crying teenage girl had left. I looked up to the stage and saw a bald head stick out from the wings. I gave Mark a thumbs up and he ran over to me. The security guard did not let me past the barrier at first but Mark nodded at him and I was let past.
"Enjoy the show?" Mark asked.
"Yeah, you are a really great band!" I replied beaming.
"So.... Why are you here?"
"I went to Hugh's office and he was sleeping with another woman so I broke up with him. I went home, cried my eyes out and then bought a whole load of stuff including a ticket to your show with his credit card." I let out all in one breath.
"I'm sorry Sweetie!" He said and hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe.
"I'm fine really, I got my own back. I hope he is happy with that slut." Mark chuckled at this and led me into a small room with a red couch on one side, various water bottles littered the room and music sheets were strewn on every surface available. Glen walked through the door and lifted me up into a big hug.
"I thought I heard voices!" Glen exclaimed as he put me down. I had met him in a coffee shop in Dublin by accident once. He had recognised me from a picture Mark had shown him and we ended up talking until the shop shut.
"How are you Glen?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Did you like the show?"
"Loved it, you were all amazing." I told him and he smiled before sitting down on the couch.
"Guys!" A voice called from a distance. "Who are you talking to-" Danny walked through the door, freshly showered and drying his dark brown hair with a small grey towel. He stopped mid sentence and I gave him a feeble smile.
"What are you doing here Ally?" He ran a hand through his hair.
"I broke up with Hugh. I caught him cheating on me in his office." I admitted and looked down at the floor.
"flipping idiot" Mark muttered under his breath but everyone heard.
Danny's head started to nod in agreement but it kept on nodding as he stared off into space, not saying anything. I walked over to him and reached up to touch his face. I placed one hand on the top of his head and one on his chin to stop the nodding because he looked like one of those dogs that bob their heads. This brought him out of his day dream and he transferred his dark chocolate brown eyes on my own.
"Ally, I-I-I-" I cut him off with a kiss and fireworks erupted as our lips touched. We were just getting into it when Mark cleared his throat.
"Guys. I love how you two are like kissing but man! You have got to learn that I don't want to see kissing going on for that long. Break it up!" He said slowly as if we were little kids. Mark then proceeded to get up and stand in the middle of me and Dan, putting a hand up. "Ok?"
"Yes Mark." Me and Danny both said before bursting out into fits of laughter. Mark shook his head in disappointment but you could see he was trying not to smile.
Suddenly, my phone beeped alerting me I had a new message. I read it and gasped, not believing my eyes.
"What?" Danny asked concerned and came over to me although Mark tried to push him back.
"You will never guess who Hugh cheated on me with!"
"Who?" They said at the same time.
"Ingrid!" I laughed and the boys' faces were ones of shock and horror.
