Every friend group has their own traditions, so did Lauren and I. For as long as I can remember, the two of us have watched the grande finale of the Eurovision Songcontest together. It had started out with casual viewing, but over the years, we have made a small spectacle of it. We decorated the house with flags, spend the entire day before preparing snacks, making our Eurovision bingo cards.
And to top it all off, the two of us made predictions of the final ranking of the night, and whoever ended up with the most countries in the right position got to decide the destination of our next trip abroad. Last year Lauren won and we ended up visiting various Christmas markets in Germany. I already made my mind up about our next destination if I ended up winning tonight, Zurich, Switzerland. I'm eager to see the city, the many museums, and completely unwind and relax while hiking through the Alps, whereas Lauren had set her mind on a week long beach holiday to the Canary Islands.
