Nineteen Years Later: Spring 2042

"And don't forget to warm up your voice before you go on stage. And interact with the public, just throw out a wink or put an arm around one of your band mates. Confidence is key." Bojan said to Zoran, who rolled his eyes in return. Seeing the two together was something I could never get enough of. Seventeen year old Zoran was the spitting image of his dad. He had turned seventeen just three weeks ago and stood a little taller than his dad. He was just as outgoing and made friends wherever he went, to the point it was hard to keep track of the friends he had over sometimes.
But most of all, I couldn't be more proud of the young man he had become over the years. He was doing well in school and despite being a teenager, the best big brother to his 14 year old brother Dani and 11 year old sister Mila, which he proved once again by ruffling his hand through their hair and thanking them for coming to his gig. Zoran gave me a quick final hug before disappearing to his dressing room to be with his band.
Bojan looked at me like his ego just shattered in a million pieces. "Why is he like that?" He asked, sounding almost defeated.
I chuckled and cupped his cheek, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "He's a teenager and we're just his forty something parents. He doesn't need our advice, we're not cool anymore, not to him at least." I chuckled. "He has made it to the finals, he knows what he's doing."
"I know that." Bojan sighed. "I just want him to know that I'm involved."
"He knows that." I replied and softly ran my hand over his back. "You know how he is. He's got his own vision. If he needs anything from us, he'll ask. He always had. And whenever he did, you always made time for him. He may not always show it, but he appreciates you a lot."
"You're probably right." Bojan said as we made our way to the balcony of the venue. I smiled fondly as I watched him help Mila with her ear protection. Dani and Mila each had their own personalities. Dani kept more to himself. He had a tight knit group of friends that he was always with, and recently he expressed his interest in learning to produce songs. And with him being in his more rebellious teenage years as well, I was more than happy to spend time with him in the studio to show him the ropes. Mila hopefully had another year or two to go before she too preferred not to be seen with her parents. She had a lot of different hobbies, but she definitely had a talent for playing the piano and I could only hope she would continue to play as she got older.

"Welcome Everyone! To the finale of the 29th edition of Špil Liga. We have some very promising musicians out here today who are eager to get here on stage for you. Every single one of them have proven they deserve to be on this stage by getting through the first round and the semi finals. Give it up for tonight's musicians!" The night's presenter announced.
The four of us cheered on top of our voices when Zoran's band was announced on stage, Mila probably the loudest of us all. We all waved at him the moment Zoran looked in our direction.

"And the winner of the 29th edition of Špil Liga is..... Last Paradise!"

The morning after I called everyone to the dining table where I prepared a large breakfast for the family. Mila was the first one downstairs, followed by Bojan and then Dani. "Where's our rockstar?"
"I'm right here." Bojan replied cheekily to which I playfully rolled my eyes.
"I'll go get him." I chuckled and walked upstairs. I knocked on his bedroom door and waited for a reply before knocking again and eventually entering his bedroom. I expected to find him sleeping in his bed, but found it empty instead. I worried for a brief second before I noticed his acoustic guitar was also gone and I instantly knew where to find him.
