Eva's POV

The moment the doorbell rang, Lauren shot out of her seat on the couch and ran towards the front door. It's been a little over a month since Kris came around, but today he was coming back with his four bandmates to record some songs, and hopefully write a few new ones, for almost three weeks. "Lau! Calm down!" I laughed as I got up to follow her outside. I remotely opened the front gates on my phone and soon enough, we were greeted by five men and an abundance of suitcases.

Kris was the first one to step forward and greet the two of us with a tight hug. "Thank you for having us."

"Hi, I'm Bojan. Nice to meet you too." The shortest one, who still towered over Lauren, but stood at the same height as me, stepped forward and greeted Lauren and I with a quick kiss on the cheek, after which Kris playfully pushed him to the side. I couldn't help but chuckle at their interaction.

"This is Jan, the other guitarist, Nace, the bassist, and Jure, our drummer." Kris continued and respectively gestured towards the man with the longer black hair, the man with the broad shoulders, and the one with the blond hair. "And this is Lauren, my cousin, and Eva." Kris said towards to the guys who started laughing, clearly thinking the introductions were unnecessary, and I couldn't quite tell if it was because Lauren and Kris looked so similar or if it was because they recognised me.

Lauren and I greeted the other boys with a hug. "Let me show you where you'll be staying so you can rest a little. Can we help with the luggage?" I asked, but almost instantly the five guys shook their heads and picked up their cases, although each of them were carrying two. "Your loss." I laughed and hooked my arm around Lauren's. Lauren and I were perfectly capable of carrying a suitcase, but if they wanted to prove they were five tough strong boys, we were perfectly happy to let them do just that.

We walked around the home, through my gardens until we reached the guesthouse that was located at the back of my backyard. I opened the door and led the way inside. "You'll have your own living room here, kitchen, there's some board games, video games, some old arcade games. There's a jacuzzi outside, you're free to use that as well. There's three bedrooms, so you'll have to share unfortunately. Lau and I are about to get some groceries so you guys have all the time you need to settle in. Can we get you anything?"

"Yo this is sick." The man I remembered to be Jan spoke up as he dropped his bags and walked over to the old pinball machine I bought at a second hand store.

"Men..." Lauren whispered in my ear, making me snicker. I saw her and Kris exchange a mischievous look, making me feel slightly paranoid. I've had the pleasure to spend three full days with the two of them together, and I just knew the two of them had some crazy plan up their sleeves. "We should have a party tonight!" Lauren announced. "We'll buy drinks, food, play music, do some drinking games, we'll have an opportunity to really get to know each other!"

"We don't say no to parties." Jure chimed in with a look that could be even more mischievous than the one Lauren and Kris shared before.

Soon enough, the seven of us had all agreed to have a party later this evening. We hadn't scheduled any work today anyway, and with the seven of us working together and living in close proximity, it couldn't help but start our journey with getting to know each other better. The boys didn't have any outrageous demands for groceries, they were fine with beer and Jack Daniels for tonight, and Nace requested some gluten free snacks.

"Oh, you guys don't mind dogs, do you?" I made sure to ask before Lauren and I headed out.

"You have a dog?!" Bojan and Nace said in choir, raising their voice out of enthusiasm.

"His name is Zeus, he's a bit of a gentle giant. He still thinks he's a lapdog even though he's over 25 kilos." I said with a chuckle. "I can make sure he won't walk into any space we'll be using for writing throughout the week."
