Eva's POV

AN – TW: Mentions of drug use / depression

Last night maybe, just maybe, got a little more out of hand than we had originally planned. Multiple bottles of liquor hadn't survived to the end of the night. I didn't have the worst hangover of my life, but I've definitely felt better.

It helped that the boys from Joker Out were only coming to the studio at 11 AM, so we were able to sleep in. Still, when my alarm went off at 9:30 AM, I felt like I could still sleep for hours. Still, I climbed out of bed, quickly showered and headed downstairs to have breakfast with Zeus before taking him on his morning walk. He shouldn't have to suffer because of my poor decision-making skills last night.

I headed to my studio at 10:45 to start setting up some things to prepare for today's session, and soon enough, the five boys entered the studio. The five of them looked like they had quite the struggle with getting out of bed as well, not that I expected anything else, they all drank more than I did.

I gave them the tour I gave Kris just a month before, showing them the recording booths, the lounge area, and the various instrument storages.

Jure, Bojan, Jan and Kris all headed to one part of the studio to try to work on new songs, while Nace and I headed to another part where we were going to rerecord the bass for Joker Out's old albums, so if they decided to release the translations, it would feature Nace's bass playing as well.

We spent like three hours in there together, recording, rerecording, adding recordings together, adding them to the instrumentals of the old songs. I found out that Nace had some experience with producing music, so instead of making it a late night by myself, I showed Nace how I went to work after finishing recording sessions. After an hour of sitting behind the panels, the two of us headed back to where we left the rest of the boys, as I had time scheduled to work on stuff with Bojan as well.

However, when we returned to the other boys, only Jan, Kris and Jure were still in the room where I last saw them, making music together. "Where's Bojan?" I asked, looking around to see if he was about to walk back in the room.

"He went to find some quiet place to work on some lyrics." Jan said with a shrug before continuing to strum my vintage Martin acoustic guitar.

I rolled my eyes at the lack of help I was getting from them and left Nace with the rest of them to go find Bojan, whom I quickly found on a couch in another recording booth, with an acoustic guitar, pen and paper in hand. "Hey, can I come in?" I asked. He didn't look up when I stepped into the room, so I figured he hadn't heard me walk in.

"Oh, yeah, of course." Bojan said as he looked up, seemingly quite startled by my entrance, and then put the acoustic guitar down on the other side of the couch.

"What have you been working on?" I asked curiously.

"Well..." Bojan chuckled and showed me the near empty page. It only had a few words scribbled on it. "Apparently not on anything. How do you do it? Writing multiple songs in a day at times?"

"There's not really one way, you know." I said softly. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that he remembered the conversation we had last night. "Sometimes I'm watching a movie, or reading a book, and there's this scene that really hits different. I try to apply that to myself and how I would feel in that situation. Sometimes it's stories people tell me, sometimes I'm just high as a kite." I laughed. "You can make a song out of literally anything. You can't tell me that you've got nothing to write about. You've just had this major journey behind you." Unlike myself, I don't think I wrote a song about genuine deep emotions I've felt myself, out of experiencing life, not just through movies and stories from others.
