Bojan's POV

After Eva and I finished singing the song she wrote for the first time, we stayed back in the studio to record the vocals.

Later that night we had dinner in a restaurant together and stayed in to watch a movie. Jure and Jan were the ones that preferred to throw another party, but as we were recording more vocals tomorrow, Kris and I favoured to call it an early night. and Nace, who had been recording for hours today, agreed with us.

After we got back from the restaurant, it was time for a movie. Everyone but Eva took their place in the living room. She insisted on getting everyone something to drink first. As Lauren started the movie, I followed Eva into the kitchen to grab drinks for everyone.

"Move over." I said and nudged Jure's leg with my foot. There was a small space between where he and Eva were sitting, and I just about managed to squeeze in between the two. I couldn't say why, but I felt drawn towards her. It just felt like we're on the same wavelength. The way our voices connected, the way she seemed to be able to finish my sentences and vice versa. That wasn't just any connection, there really was something special there. It's like we knew each other in a prior life. I could only imagine how our physical connection would be. How she could react to my fingers running over her body. No... those thoughts needed to stop right here. I couldn't allow myself to go there, not right now.

I rested my arm on the back of the couch behind her and the two of us exchanged a quick glance and a smile before the two of us redirected our gaze back to the tv.

The next morning the six of us were gathered in Eva's studio once again. We had just made the final edits to the translated lyrics, but it had taken longer than we intended. Once I had the lyrics in front of me, I was once again hit by the fact that she had pretty much looked into my soul the moment I wrote the lyrics in their original language. The discussion was mostly led by Kris and Eva, and although the eyes were mostly on me as I had written the original lyrics, all my head allowed me to do was to nod and just agree with whatever they said.

Eva and I headed to the recording booth, and just as I was about to grab the headphones, Eva put her hand on my shoulder. "It's okay if you don't like the songs you know." She said in a soft voice that only made my head spin even more.

"No, no, they're like ...perfect. I love them." I said and wrapped my arms around her shoulders, hugging her against my chest for a brief moment, which pulled a laugh out of her. It was short lived, but it was enough to appease me.

"I barely slept last night, Jan's snores sound like a chainsaw." That wasn't exactly a lie, Jan did snore undeniably loud, but I had no trouble sleeping because of it. I just had to come up with something because I had no other way of explaining why I seemed so out of it during the meeting.

"If you say so. Which one do you wanna get started on?" I heard Eva say.

"Tokio?"

"Bojan, that's like the tenth time that your timing is completely off." I heard Eva say through my headphones as the instrumentals and the metronome stopped. We've been going at this for a while now, and my performance was starting to get pretty embarrassing. I didn't want to give Eva this idea that I wasn't taking this seriously, or that I was just completely incapable at my job. But fuck I couldn't just seem to focus on recording. My head was at one place only, the girl behind the monitor with just a soundproofed window.

"I know, I know, let's roll it back." I spoke.

"I don't know what it is, whether you need some water, food, a nap or a walk, but you better figure it out cause this isn't working." I heard instead. I fucked up... I took off the headphones and walked out of the booth. "Let's just take 30 and try again after." She sounded pissed off, and she wasn't smiling either. Eva pretty much had a smile plastered on her face since the day we got there, and I despised being the reason that it was now gone.
