Chandler's POV

"Way to go, nitwit!" I shouted at Grayson. "I was gonna ask Mercy out. But you decided to ruin it!"

"Dude, calm down." He tried.

"No! I will not even attempt to calm myself at this point. I finally worked up the courage, and now it's gone! Because of you!"

"You could be asking her right now. But, instead, you're here. Yelling at me." He retorted. He was right. I could've and should've been there at that moment. Maybe, it could have been Mercy and myself on that couch.

"Oh God." I mumbled. I shot out of the room and ran all the way to Mercy's trailer, hoping she hadn't left yet. The whole way, I thought about her. How beautiful she was. How her hair sat just right. How her eyes lit up when she got good news. It made me fall for her more and more.

I banged my hand on the door of her trailer. I stood, impatiently, waiting for the door to open and reveal those perfect eyes.

Just as I was about to take off towards her hotel, the door opened. I saw her eyes and I was done. I crashed my lips onto hers and wrapped my arms around her. After a short while, her arms wrapped around my neck and she began to kiss me back.

That moment was perfect.

Until I felt a sharp pain in the back of my lower leg. I fell to the ground and the last thing I saw before blacking out was Mercy's beautiful face.
