Mercy's POV

While I was freaking out, Chandler decided to look on the bright side of things.

"I'll have people doing things for me for two weeks." He smiled.

"What about your career?"

"I told you. Kirkman will think of something." He said with a smile, grabbing my hands. "Stop worrying. Just enjoy what you've got."

"What is that exactly?" I said, failing to see the obvious.

"A gorgeous boyfriend who gets to boss you around fo two weeks." He said with a cheeky smile.

I smirked at him and leaned down so that I was level with him. Being in a wheelchair made him only come up to my belly button.

"Careful, boss me around too much now and I won't do anything you ask when you get better."

I pecked his lips and stood back up, feeling victorious. "Okay, so... you want food?" I asked, feeling a bit hungry myself.

He nodded and I pushed him down the hall to the hospital food cafeteria. When we got there, I spotted Val and Grayson in the corner. I wheeled Chandler over and sat down in front of Val.

"Here," Gray started, digging in his pocket. "Gina gave us money and said to give you guys whatever we had left." He handed me the money and I got up to get food.

After I ordered, I took the food back to Chandler. He smiled.

For someone that's risking paralyzation every second for two weeks, he sure was happy. But, as I said, he wants to look on the bright side of things.

I was about to say something when this random guy walked up. He couldn't have been older than Chandler, by the looks of him. He looked down at Chandler with an evil smirk.

"Well, well. Look what we have here. Chandler finally got himself hurt."

"Exuse me?" I asked, needing to know what he meant. Chandler was staying quiet, looking down at his food.

"Stay outta this, girl." He spat.

Chandler finally spoke up. "Don't talk to her like that, Cash. Just leave us alone."

"Oh, like you did?" Cash teased. What's going on here?

"Cash." Chandler warned. I could tell he was getting mad. It kind of scared me.

"Hey! Just go away." I injected. "Obviously, you aren't wanted here."

"Aw, Chandler. You letting your little girlfriend talk for you?" Chandler balled his hands into fists. "I guess she's the a scary one here. That's surprising, considering how plain she is."

Chandler stood up and threw a punch at Cash. Cash stumbled back, holding his face. He reared back to puch Chandler, but he was already on the ground holding his leg.

I knelt beside him. "Chandler, what is it?" I asked, worried.

"I can't feel my leg."

(I am so sorry! This is killing me just to write it. Keep reading tho. It gets better. You guys know I have to amp up the drama. If this did really happen to Chandler, I don't think I'd survive.)
