Hayes' POV

I was happy to have run into Val. I really like her, but she's with Grayson, and I respect that. I'd never take another man's girl. I hope to become friends with all of them. Maybe Mercy could introduce me to one of her other friends. Nah, I'm just kidding.

I was happy that Val agreed to laser tag, but she really sucked at it. She got tagged out as soon as the buzzer sounded. I have to admit, Grayson was surprisingly good at it. He got paired up with some blonde girl who did really well until I tagged her out, leaving it at just Grayson and I.

The end buzzer was just about to sound, leaving us at a tie, when Grayson shot me and won.

Val squealed and ran into his arms. "Good job, baby. I knew you could do it." She kissed him, and I felt something. Jealousy? Was I jealous of Grayson's relationship with Val?

I walked away, leaving the happy couple alone. I turned in my sensor and gun and went home.

Val's POV

When Gray got Hayes out and won, I knew it was time to not be mad anymore. I squealed and ran into his arms. "Good job, baby. I knew you could do it." I kissed him, which was a feeling I'd been missing.

I noticed that Hayes had left, but I decided to ignore it and text him later. I was enjoying my boyfriend time.

We left the laser tag arena and headed back to the hotel.
