This won't end well. Olivia ponders to herself as she throws an shirt over her head and some shorts over her thighs, striding back out into the hall, where she found Spencer leaning against the wall.
"If you wanna continue this conversation, you won't be an asshole"
She points her finger, warning him as she walks by. Spencer remains quiet, just watching her move. Opening the door, Chris stood before her, in an black pair of jeans, and worn out white tank.
"Hey," Chris greets her with an smile.
"Hey" Her shy response goes, while guilt runs through her.
"Chris don't be upset when I say this, but uhm..."
She lays her hand to his arm, pushing them outside.
"Spencer's here"
She closed the door behind them to ensure Spencer couldn't eavesdrop on their conversation. Chris nodded his head, already aware of this fact.
"I recognized his car when I pulled in"
Her hands lifted to her hips while he took an step forward, resting his hand on her cheek.
"You're not looking too hot, you alright? You're not sick, are you?"
"Actually, I'm not doing so great right now"
"I can get you some meds if that's what you need"
She shook her head, dropping her arm.
"I'm not sick in that way. You're really sweet offering to take care of me. I'm just"
She falters, trying to come up with the right words.
"Look Chris, I'm really sorry"
She grazed his arm, silently praying in her mind he would believe the sincerity spoken through her voice.
"I'm an terrible person and I truly apologize. I promise, I didn't plan on this happening"
"Olivia"
Chris forced an heavy sigh pinching the bridge of his nose in slight annoyance.
"I'm not going to sit here and act like I like it, cuz I don't. But were not together and I'm not your man. You don't owe me anything. It was like pulling teeth to even get you to go out with me, and it wouldn't be fair to give you hell about something I can't truly be mad about. I'm just gonna have to work harder on my game so it's me you make the call to"
She freezes in place, paralyzed by his words. Out of nowhere, the door opened behind them and Spencer stepped out.
"Oh, good morning, Chris"
"Spencer"
Chris replied politely, blowing out long breaths through his nose in an attempt to not allow the other man to pull him out of character.
"How was your night? I know how mine was, and boy was it good, finger licking good"
Chris's body weight shifted forward and Olivia intervened stepping in front of both men.
"Don't you have an fishing trip with your pops and brothers? You should probably be heading out before your late" She says, gesturing checking the time on her invisible watch.
"Do you mind? We were kinda in the middle of something"
Spencer spoke directly to Chris, blatantly ignoring Olivia. She smacks her lips, turning to Chris, grabbing his arm.
