Olivia searched for him all over town, stopping at an few known places. She took an long pause in the car, tapping her thumbs against the steering wheel, thinking aloud.

"Where are you, Spencer?"

Moments pass and a smile formed on her lips when the thought came to mind, cursing herself silently for not thinking of this place she had in mind from the beginning. Throwing the car in drive, she went directly to her parent's house, heading to the shed. He could run but he couldn't hide from her, and she wasn't going to let him get away, not this time. Going in, she's so laser focused on getting to their place of solace, she almost bypassed the beaming light coming from the stable stall where one of her childhood horses used to stay in. Her palm pushed against the wood of the door, stumped on who could be there and why the light was still on, until she spotted his body on the floor. Fury seeped through her form, after realizing he had been there the entire time. Hiding at her parents' home rather than their own.

"Spence?"

She speaks as he stands up from the gentle sound of her voice. The anger she felt before now quickly dissipated the minute his eyes found hers. This wasn't him. Not an man who ran off because his father could die. This man standing before her was heartbroken. Eyes bloodshot red from immense spouts of crying, the stench of liquor rolling off his clothing, completely distraught. Olivia could read the pain stretched across his face.

"Spencer"

She approaches softly, stepping closer, the need to console him was automatic.

"Why are you here?"

"Olivia what are you even doing here? How in the world did you find me? Know what, it doesn't matter, just go home aight"

"I'm already home. The better question is, what are you doing here?"

He backed away, gripping his pounding temple.

"Doesn't matter! Damn it! This is exactly why I didn't want anyone to know where I was"

"You have any idea how worried I've been? How worried your mother has been?"

His eyes snapped up, rage taking over his sadness.

"I don't care"

"You don't care?" She asked in disbelief.

"You don't care? How could you not care? Your father is dying, your mother is barely holding on by an thread and your over here hiding in my shed?"

"Look, I can't do this right now, I just.... can't" His eyes lowered away from hers.

"Why did you come here and why did you leave the hospital?"

His teary gaze met hers, and the ache was evident, rippling off his frame like ocean waves.

"I created enough distance between us so you couldn't get to me, while making sure I was close enough to reach you"

Her chest constrained as tears clouded the skin around her eyes. In the first time in an long time, he actually tried not to keep his wall up with her. Now, he was on edge.

"Just tell me why you left"

His eyes dropped once more, angling himself away from her, and she didn't let up.

"Something's gotta give, Spence. What's going on? I'm not just gonna let you slip away. Listen to me, I love you okay. Just talk to me, please"

Delivery of her words softened as she took an step forward, grazing her fingertips against his back. He shook his head, without pulling away from her.

"I really don't have the energy to argue, but I'm not doin this with you either"
