The last couple of days were exhausting and disheartening all in one. The clan plus Olivia and Spencer remained at the hospital night and day. Even with another attempt at another transfusion, Carter's symptoms weren't letting up. He's doped up on the many pills they have thrown at him, and the doctors have warned the family that it's only an matter of time. Spencer conversed with Dillon and Jordan after speaking to his father and all was forgiven about his disappearing act. Night turned into day with Olivia by his side as Spencer watched over his father. Watching him die, slowly and it was hard for Olivia to witness. She could only imagine the type of pain he was enduring from this. But she also knew, nothing she did would make it better. He was going to lose someone he loves and there was nothing that could be done now. Sleepless nights became an thing for the couple and Olivia did her best in not pestering his thoughts with an million questions she wanted to ask. She just relished the feel of being in his arms, close where his heart resided. In the home they shared together.

"How did it go with your father?" She politely asked him.

"Better than I thought, we talked, I got some answers. I get why they never told me. Now, after learning the truth about my biological father, how he abused my mom, I see what they were trying to do. They wanted to protect me. If I saw that man today, I'd probably kill him"

Spencer watches the tears roll effortlessly down his woman's cheek as he retells how his biological father treated his mom and how he almost died at the hands of that act. Immediately, her mind drifts over to her sister, who shared an similar story as Grace. An man who loves you with his fist.

"Don't cry my love" His thumb swiped under the corner of her eye.

"Everything worked out the way it should have. I'm alive, my mother is too, and she found real love with my dad, everything's fine" Olivia's tried to stop her cries, wiping her face with an nod.

"What about Dillon and J? How did they take the news?"

Spencer's eyes reached hers as she rested her chin onto his shirt.

"Not even gonna hold you but, Jordan was very angry at first. Dillon and I couldn't get him to stop screaming. Dil showed his anger through silence. He hated the fact that we've been lied to our whole lives in an sense. My mom, I could tell how much the guilt was eating at her. She just kept apologizing over and over to us. Pops shut it down and made it clear that it wasn't their business to know the details on how they chose to raise their family. But he did ask if this changed anything for them"

"Does it?"

An faint chuckle slips out.

"They told me that the only people they wanted to disown was him and mom"

Olivia gives him an genuine smile, resting her head to his chest. Happy and feeling fulfilled, listening to the rhythm of his beating heart, eyes closed. He drums his fingers through her curls, pressing his head down. The softest request bellows from his mouth as she begins to doze off.

"Marry me Olivia"

Spencer leaks out. She froze in place, raising up.

"What did you just say?"

I'm sure I heard wrong. He didn't ask me that.

"About my brothers disowning my parents?"

She shook her head silently, tears building up.

"No"

"Marry me Liv"

"Spence"

She shifts her weight so she can face him as her heart skips an million beats an minute.

"You've been through so much lately and I know it's hard but let's try and think about this when your mind is clear"
