Beckys POV
I ran downstairs into the pub with dad behind me.
"Hey darling" Shirley greeted me.
"Hey shirl" I said and hugged her.
I took off my bag and got myself a drink of orange juice before we went.
"What are we doing today?" I smiled.
"Well Kim, Denise and Patrick are out with pearl so it will just be me, you an dean." she said.
"Where's buster?" I asked.
"He's got some business to do today" she said. "Tina's gonna come in sometime today aswell, and we're having a takeaway for tea" she added.
"Cool" I replied and took a sip from my drink.
"Let's go then" she said and stood up.
"Have a good day princess" dad said and kissed my forehead.
"Will do" I smiled.

We got to the house and I sat down on the sofa, got my phone out and started to text liam. Shirley sat next to me.
"I love you, so much. my girl" she said.
I looked at her and smiled. I love her to. but not as her daughter. as family. I love her like an auntie, I don't see her as my mum.
"I love you too, shirl" I said and looked back at my phone.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Sure" she said.
"Did you ever tell stan-" "you call him grandad" she interrupted.
"Did you ever tell grandad that I'm your daughter?" I said. I was scared by what her reaction would be. she didn't reply straight away so I looked up at her. she was already looking at me, with guilt written all over her face. I sat up straight and sat on my leg so I wasn't slouched as much.
"Shirl?"
"Your grandad knew. he was the first person I told about you when I was pregnant. He was the only person who visited me when I gave birth to you. he was the first person to hold you." she said and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"So he always knew" I said. I'm so happy he knew.
"I'm so sorry for everything I've put you through, becky" she said.
"No, no. it's fine- I mean, it's not been nice but I'm fine now. now I'm with all my real family."
"And when you hurt yourself, because of me"
"It wasn't because of you. I got bullied, I don't want to speak about it anyway. I'm fine now, thanks to this family."
"I hope you forgive me one day" she said and pulled me into a hug.
"I have forgiven you, you're my mum Shirley" I said.
"Good" she replied.
"Aw that's very sweet" said dean, sarcastically. he was sat over by the kitchen table, eating his breakfast.
"Shut up, dean" I said and he smugly laughed.
"So" Shirley said, interrupting the awkwardness.
"When's Tina coming?" I asked.
"At dinner, she's coming with Sonya" she said.
"Alright". we carried on watching TV for another half an hour.
"Becks" Shirley said.
"Yep?" I asked. Shirley took a deep breath and replied.
"Do you like mick and Linda being your parents?" She asked.
"They're always there for me, they're the best thing that's ever happened to me" I said. I suddenly realised what I just said and thought about how it must if made Shirley feel, she looked away, obviously saddened by my opinion.
"Sorry" I sighed
"You don't have to be sorry, darling" she said, stroking my cheek.
"It must be hard for you, seeing me- your-your daughter. seeing your daughter live with someone else and call them parents" I said.
"It's not easy, but I deserve it. but whatever happens, I will always love my little girl" she said.

It was now 11:30, dean was out, Shirley was in the kitchen making me dinner and I was in the same spot as I was when I came here.
"Becky!" Shirley shouted.
"What?" I asked/shouted.
"There's something I need to tell you"
