Linda's POV

It was the next morning and me and mick were still in bed. I rolled over to mick who was already staring at me.
"Good morning baby" micks deep morning voice sent chills down my spine and I chuckled. I moved close to him and laid my head on his chest.
"Morning" I replied at last.
"I've been thinking" I said.
Mick sat up. "go on" he said.
"I've been thinking that becky needs parents" I said.
"Yeah I know, L. where's this going?"
"I think we should adopt her. I could be her mum and you could be her-"
"Woah, woah babe. have you even thought this through properly? I mean, I'm her brother, L." mick interrupted.
"If we did adopt her, the only thing that would change is that she'd call us mum and dad. I love her as a child and so do you" I said. mick groaned in frustration.
"Are you sure this isn't just because you want a daughter that dresses up and is a girly girl? Because I'm sorry that I gave you three boys and a girl who acts like a boy" he joked.
"No mick. I'm being serious. she needs us as parents because Shirley's never been there for her and you know she's been through a lot" I sat up and pulled the covers off mick.
"Linda!" Mick shouted and pulled the covers back into him.
"Fine. but this is just gonna be hard work sortin this out. we need to talk to becky and you know how stubborn and sarcastic she is" mick sighed.
"Mr mick carter I do love you" I squeelled.
We got changed and sat in the living room and becky walked in and sat down. mick sat up properly and coughed, trying to get her attention.
"Hello" she said in a funny voice.
I tried to speak but she interrupted me.
"I've got a massive headache, you were right, I should've gone easy on the drink last night" she laughed.
"Becky we- we've been talking" mick said.
"Talking?" She said confused.
"Basically we was wondering if-we was hoping if-would you wanna- it would be better if-" I couldn't get my words out.
"Spit it out Linda" she joked.
"We was wondering if you were up for us adopting you" mick said.
"Wha- why can it just stay like this? What difference would it make?" She said calmly.
"You would call us mum and dad, I-if you like. we could get it changed on you profiles and paper work so now you actually have a mum and dad to take to parents evening and stuff" I smiled, hoping that this would happen.
"I'd love to have you two as my mum and dad" she said. me and mick smile at eachother in excitement.
"But" she added. the grins dropped of our faces.
"But, micks my brother. and how are you gonna tell Shirley you're suddenly taking me as one of yours?" She asked.
"Look babe, I know you're my sister but I can still be your dad. and Shirley won't care, when has she ever cares about us?" Mick ranted.
"Alright, the only reason I'm not so keen on this is because I don't want everything to go down hill"
"We understand darling" I re-assured her.
"We're gonna get everything sorted and then officially adopt you." Mick said, cheerfully.
"Don't call it adopt. sounds like you're adopting a pet or something" becky said coldly.
"Hey, I though you liked the idea of this" I said.
"I do but I've got a feeling you're only doing this because you want to make me feel wanted"
"You are wanted silly" I said.
"yeah, yeah I know. and I'm just getting passed around like I'm a peice of paper." she whispered.
"But yeah" she added and walked out into the pub to do shifts. Me and mick sighed.
"Told ya" mick said.

Beckys POV
This is all happening too fast. I only came out of hospital yesterday from trying to kill myself, now they want to call me their child? It's a bit of a coincidence if you ask me!
"Becky let's talk" mick came jogging in behind the bar.
"later, dad" I said, trying it out and seeing his reaction. He just looked at me gone out.
"You just call me dad?" He asked.
"Weird innit?" I said.
"No, no. it'll take a bit of getting used to but it fine" I knew he thought it was weird really. I didn't reply and carried on with what I was doing but he still stayed close by.
"Hey" a young cockney voice greeted me. I turned around to see a very goodlooking boy, not much older than me.
