"Wanna drink?" I asked.
"I'm not here for a drink, I-I just wanted to get t-to know you" he said, shyly. I saw mick watching us.
"Oh well hi, I'm becky. becky carter" I smiled.
"I'm liam" he said and kissed my hand. I laughed and winked at him and he chuckled.
"My shift finishes in five minutes, so why don't you sit down on that table over there and I'll bring us a drink and we could... talk" I said. liam laughed and went and sat down.
"What you looking at?" I asked mick, still grinning.
"Just be careful" he said and kissed my forehead. I walked over to liam and sat opposite him.
"Hey b-becky" he nervously said and I giggled.
"So liam, how old are you?" I asked with a smile on my face.
"Seventeen, how old are you?"
"Fifteen, but I'm sixteen next week" I said. I looked over and mick and Linda were stood watching us and smirking. great.
"So, you're a carter then. micks daughter?" He asked and I blushed.
"N-no, I'm his sister. it's a long story maybe I can tell you sometime" I said as I rested my chin on my hand and smirked.
"I'd love that" he smiled then his phone rang.
"S-sorry, it's my nan, she wants me back home. here's my number, text me" he winked and handed me over a peice of paper with his number on. he soon left and I was still sat there, pleased with my flirtation. Then I realised that I haven't got a phone, well I wasn't allowed my phone. I walked over to the bar with a smile still plastered on my face.
"Don't think I've ever seen you this happy" Linda laughed then mick burst out laughing aswell.
"Well I'm just pleased with myself, I don't know what's so funny though" I said.
"It doesn't matter" mick laughed, patting me on the back.
"I've got Liam's number, I just need a phone to text him" I said, tying to give a hint to Linda.
"Well it is your birthday in 2 days, maybe we could get you a new phone, new number! Just be careful who you give your number to though" Linda said.
"I think I've learnt my lesson" I said.
I sat down on one of the tables to eat my dinner and Linda joined me. I knew she just came to sit with me to talk about 'adopting' me. the word made me feel sick.
"You okay now darling?" She asked.
"Never been better" I replied.
"It's not that I don't want you to be my mum, it's that micks my brother."
"That was random" Linda said.
"I thought that's why you sat next to me"
"No silly, but it is your choice. remember that" she said.
