I ran upstairs to L and becky in the kitchen where becky was leaning over the sink and Linda was rubbing her back.
"What's the matter with her?" I worried.
"I think she's having an anxiety attack" Linda replied.
"Come here baby" I said and I held her and walked her into the living room and sat her down. Her breathing had calmed down and she had stopped crying and shaking.
"What's brought you to this state girl?" I practically whispered and stroked the underneath of her chin, lifting her head up. Linda sat behind her and put her hands on her shoulders.
"I'm angry, sad, guilty and embarresed. it's just too much" she said and her head fell again.
"Why are you like that?" I whispered.
"I feel guilty because buster thinks he's my actual dad, and no ones telling him about phil an-and because I can't act like everything's the same everytime I see him. I'm sad because Everyone's arguing, this family is breaking apart and you and Shirley keep arguing and I'm in the middle of it all" she explained. Linda looked at me in a sympathetic face.
"We'll sort that out later but Why are you angry?" I asked.
"Dad, please don't flip out but... I overheard carol tell Sonya that she found cindy underneath his bed"
"Was they-" "Yeah, they have been having sex" becky interrupted linda.
I was fuming. liam knows exactly what becky has been going through.
"How dare he" I said.
"Dad please don't do anything" she said and grabbed my arm.
"Is this why your embarresed aswell?"
"Yeah, I feel like everyone knows except me- I know they don't but it feels that way. I feel like a mug, dad" she said.
"You're not a mug, darling" Linda said and squeezed her shoulders.
"Nah, he's the mug baby" I said and put my arm around her.
"I'm fine now, thanks. anyone wanna cuppa?" She asked and smiled.
"Yeah okay" Linda replied, confused in her sudden change of mood. becky left the room and Linda looked at me.
"I think she's still unwell" Linda said.
"No L, she's fine" I said, trying to stop her from worrying.
"No she's not, mick. remember the last time you said she was fine? She ended up self harming"
"Okay babe, you don't need to remind me of the most terrifying day of my life" I said sharply.
"Let's just check on her now" Linda said, annoyed. we walked across the hall into the kitchen.
"You okay baby?" I asked.
"I'm 16 now, I can be left alone in a room!" she shouted, not looking at me or linda.
"Your mum and I, we're worried about you" I said calmly, even though she just yelled at us.
"Why? I'm fine" she said.
"We still think you're Ill" linda said and stroked her back.
"You say that like I have some sort of disease" she muttered coldly and walked out.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm going to bed" she replied.
I went to follow her but Linda stopped me.
"She'll probably be more happy in the morning" she smiled and kissed me.
