Today was parents evening and I was back from school getting ready. mum and dad are really excited, and I really don't want to let them down.

Micks POV
Me and L are in our bedroom getting ready for Beckys parents evening.
"I can't wait, mick. we haven't done parents evening in ages, I bet she's doing so well, I bet everyone loves her" Linda said in excitement.
"Remember to keep it cool, L. we don't want to set a bad first impression now, do we?" I said. Sometimes I think I'm the only person in this house that can see through Beckys smiling face, because I can just see she doesn't want us to go. but I don't know why.
"I know what I'm doing babe. how do I look?" She asked and spinned around. she had her hair scraped up in a right bun, pink leggings on, a light pink top and her blue, long jacket. She looks amazing.
"Perfect, baby" I said and kissed her.
"Should we get becky, to talk?" I asked.
"Yeah" she replied.
"Becky!?"i shouted/asked. she came running in, wearing a white girl tank top and black skinny jeans. she had her hair scruffed up in a messy bun which looked perfect and makeup applied beautifully.
"No scenes, no shouting, no drama. okay baby?" I asked.
"Ofcourse not, who do you take me for" she joked.

We arrived at her school and we had been to a few subjects so far.
"I'm so proud of you" Linda said and hugged becky, making her embarresed in the hallway.
"MR and MRS Carter please?" The teacher asked.
"That's us" I replied. I looked at Beckys face and she had guilt written all over her face.
"Hello, I'm MRS.West, Beckys science teacher" she greeted us and we say down.
"Well, to start it off, becky hasn't turned up to any of my lessons in 4-5 weeks, she's missed over 27 lessons" she said. I was stunned and so was Linda by the looks of her. Linda had her eyebrows raised and her lips partly open. we all looked at becky at the same time and she was already looking away.
"Thankyou MRS.West, we've heard enough now, bye" L said and took becky by the wrist and lead her into the car.
"I was so proud of you, of what your teachers said. but you had to ruin it!" Linda shouted.
"Linda, that's enough baby" I said to try and calm her down.
"No, mick. I thought someone in our family had actually achieved something but no." she shouted. I think L is being a bit overboard here.
"Sorry" becky whispered.
"Hmm" Linda replied angrily.

We arrived home at 6:30.
"Go upstairs and don't forget to take your tablets" Linda said and so becky forcefully swung oped the kitchen cabinet, pulled her tablets out and stormed upstairs.
"Don't you think you should take it easy" I said to Linda.
"I just don't know why she can't let go of the past and focus on what is right now. we never had this with Nancy. or Lee or johnny" she explained still angry.
"It doesn't matte-" "it does matter mick! She's gonna mess up her life!" Linda interrupted me, shouting and waving her arms around.
"Well I'm not speaking to her, she needs to learn her lesson" she raged.
"Let's let her have the day off tomorrow, L." I begged. god knows what trouble becky will get her self in tomorrow if she goes to school in a bad mood.
"Why? Let her have the day off because she's been bad? no, mick, that's not how it works" Linda said.
"You know what she's like baby, if she goes to school in a bad mood she's get herself in loads of trouble" I said and she didn't reply. "and if you don't like her skipping lessons, you really wouldn't like her skipping school, would you?" I said, and by the expression on her face, I knew she had finally seen sense.
"Fine, but this doesn't mean I'm speaking to her. I'm gonna play her game"
