𝑨 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓

I was in the Wheelers basement watching the party play their D&D game. Apparently they had been playing for ten hours again.

Nerds.

I was glad to see them playing their game again. It made things seem like normal again. I figured that I had to leave soon so I could go spend Christmas with my mom.

"Okay guys don't mean to interrupt your little campaign, but I gotta head out." I told them. "Aw are you kidding?" "But we haven't finished yet!" "Your leaving now?" "Ashleyyy!" They all complained as I chuckled.

"Yeah sorry guys, I gotta go help my mom with stuff." Once I finished they all came up to me and gave me a big hug. "Awe guys, let me go I can't breathe." I said struggling at the end.

They all laughed as they let go. Saying my goodbyes to them I walked up stairs meeting Jonathan.

"Here to pick up Will?" I asked as he chuckled nodding. "Tell your mom I said Merry Christmas." He told me as I smiled. "Same here." I said as we passed each other.

"Merry Christmas Ms. Wheeler!" I said passing by her. "Awe thank you Ashley, have a wonderful night sweetie." She said as we both smiled at each other.

"Ashley wait!" I heard a voice call out. "Harrington?" I saw Steve walk up to me.

"Hey, um can we talk?" "About?" I questioned. "I never really got to apologize." Glaring at him I rolled my eyes. "Steve I don't have time-"

"Just listen to me Emerson. Look I was a dick. A major dick actually. I should've never broke Jonathan's camera, called Nancy a slut, and bash on you. It was wrong of me. Very, very wrong of me actually. I'm sorry." Looking at him he genuinely did look sorry.

Sighing I looked around the room and back at him. "Steve I-" "Here, to make it up to you." He said handing me a mix tape. "And what is this exactly?" "Oh you know, just a whole mixtape of all of Ben E. Kings songs." My eyes widened.

"Excuse me are you? What?" He chuckled at my response. "Merry Christmas Emerson." He said smiling down at me.

As I smiled back at him I walked out of the Wheelers house and grabbed my bike.
