Jayde ran her a hot bath after her long 8 hour shift at the hospital. She was a certified nursing assistant at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and worked along side her mother who was the head nurse of the facility. Jayde's salary was good and she had been there since she gave birth to her son, Jace who is now three years old. She needed a steady income after she broke it off with her baby father Kai who used to take of all her needs.
Jayde wanted a state of independence so she got a job and moved out her mother's house at the age of 21. She was happy living on her own and doing things by herself when she wasn't with her best friend Serene.
Jayde washed her body off in the shower before stepping out and putting on her robe walking out of the bathroom into the kitchen. Her son was with his dad for the week but that was shortly coming to an end because today was her last day of freedom before it was her week to keep him. They alternated weeks to take care of Jace and other times they put him in daycare only when they had to work. So far they haven't had any problems. Surprisingly coparenting has been a piece of cake.
Jayde's best friend of 12 years, Serene invited her out to a hookah lounge , just to chill and have girl time. Life has been pretty hectic between the two. Jayde has been taking shifts on her off days and tending to her son while Serene closed a modeling deal with Lorvae eyewear and she was currently in town for the weekend , so now they finally had time for each other.
It was only 6:30 and Jayde was trying to figure out what to wear. She decided to wear a pair of green camo cargo pants with a black crop top and grabbed her Rick Owen shoes out her closet to complete the outfit. She went into her jewelry box and grabbed all silver accessories and her pink Lorvae shades that her best friend sent to her a few months ago , then went over to her purse closet and grabbed a pink purse to match. Serene was going to pick Jayde up at 8 so she had time to take a quick nap.

"Hey girl heyyyy!" Serene's squeaky voice screamed from the car as Jayde was locking her front door making her way to the car.
"Heyyy , oh my god it's been so long! How you been sista?" Jayde smiled while hugging her friend from her seat.
"I cannot complain girl. Life has been so good to me! How you been Jay?" Serene said pulling off.
Jayde shrugged. She couldn't complain either , but recently she has been a little lonely. "I've been good as always girl. You know me. How you and Davon?"
"We've been doing good. Working on us every day. That's my baby." Smiling from ear to ear. Her and Davon have been together since they were teens. Jayde just knew he was going to propose soon. They've had their ups and downs but they always found a way to work things out. Jayde wished her and Kai's relationship was like that too but different strokes for different folks.
"That's good I'm happy for y'all." Jayde said , causing Serene to look over at her from the tone of her voice. "Bitch what's wrong?"
Serene knew her best friend like the back of her hand and so did Jayde.
"What Kai do this time?"Jayde rolled her eyes looking out the window as the fast wind hit her face and blew her hair in different directions. In an upset tone she spoke, "He has a girlfriend now."
"No way bitchhhh! He was just tryna get back with you last week right?"
"Mhm." Was all she said before unlocking her phone and going to his Instagram page showing her best friend the picture that he recently posted of his new toy for the week. Kai was bad at keeping girlfriends after the break up and Jayde wondered how long was this new girl going to stick around. It's not like Kai wasn't handsome , he was just bad at showing emotions but when it came to Jayde that's all he ever showed. He loved her more than life itself he just couldn't get it together for them to actually work because he had "tendencies" he couldn't get rid of and it got worse once Jace came into the picture.
