Jayde found herself slowly healing from the break up since they've been broken up for months now. She often thinks about him but quickly find a distraction from the pain of the relationship.
She started journaling and going to the gym. She took more time to herself to find what she was really looking for in the next man.
Jayde thought it was finally time to meet Darling simply because Julian started bringing her around their daughter and everyone knew how Jayde felt about new people being around her babies. She would be coming over Julian's house to meet her and pick up the things she never built the courage to come and get even though he could've thrown it out.
Jayde knocked on the door with Serenity on her hip. Julian opened the door and the look of guilt still there on his face from when he had broken up with her.
He took the baby from her then letting her come in, "Hey."
"Hey." She said taking a seat on the couch, noticing a few changes he made to his home but she wasn't about to point them out.
"Darling will be down in a minute. How you been?" He asked playing with Serenity.
"I've been good actually. You?" She asked.
"I been smooth. You look good. I see you been in the gym." He said looking at her toned stomach since she wore a crop top —which she always wear.
Julian looked a little bigger in the muscle than he did before , so she could tell he's been in the gym too.
"Thank you. I've been trying."A few minutes later Darling came downstairs to introduce herself. She was a short stature and had a nice body with a nice smile. Everyone who saw her told Jayde that they look alike and they were right. Darling resembled Jayde a lot.
"Heyy. You just be Jayde! I'm Darling , it's so lovely to meet you. You are so pretty." She said shaking Jayde's hand.
"Thank you. Nice to meet you Darling."
"You have a beautiful baby. I love her little cheeks and giggles." She laughed sitting next to Julian.
"So you two are together or—"
"Boyfriend and girlfriend as of a week ago. He bought my flowers and jewelry to make it official." She smiled handing out her wrist for Jayde to see.
"Nice. How'd you two meet?"
Julian cleared his throat, "We met at the club , but turns out we go to the same gym and have a lot of other things in common."
"That's great. I'm so happy for you two and—"
"Do you have a boyfriend by chance?" Darling asked cutting her off.
"No I don't."
"Ah , okay I see. Well is there anything else you would like to know?" She faked her smile. Darling was thinking Jayde was a little overbearing and could tell why Julian and her didn't work out. He didn't like to be smothered and she quickly learned that Jayde was doing that to him.
"Where do you work?" Jayde asked.
"I don't want to disclose that information. I don't think it's relevant." She said.
"Okay , then I'll be on my way. I have to be at my best friend's wedding rehearsal in about an hour or so." Jayde stood up making her way to the door as Julian followed behind her.
"I don't like her." She told him.
"She ain't a bad person Jay neither are you so don't be that girl." He said watching her walk off without saying anything.
He sighed , closing the door.
