Jayde spent her week working , cooking and cleaning. She was literally in a funk about Kai's new girlfriend and the news she had announced. Jayde tried to ignore Kai the best way she could but when her mother got involved she had to say something to him. Marilyn invited her over to let her vent because she knew this weighed heavy on her daughter. She saw Jayde's sad face all week at work , Marilyn knew the situation was really bothering her. What a great mother she was.

"Mom I don't want to speak to him right now." She said grabbing the cup of tea her mom brewed up for the both of them. She didn't want the tears to fall but she let them anyway.

"I know sweetie. It may be hard but you need to have the uncomfortable conversations in order to make things better. Kai is someone who doesn't know what he wants right now and when he called me I can tell he was upset because he knew you were. He's happy to have another child on the way, but he said that was is first time hearing the news as well and is truly sorry for the way things went." Marilyn said rubbing her daughter's back and handing her tissues as Jayde continued to cry.

"Mom It's just hard for me. I love Kai so much, but the things he put me through and expects me to be okay with it. He doesn't even realize how bad he hurt his family." Jayde sniffed making sure she didn't get any snot on her mother.

"I know you love him Jay, but you have to put yourself out there to meet someone else. What happened to Malik? Or the new guy you were telling me about?" She asked referring to Julian.

Jayde really liked Julian , she was just scared to rail him in because of the drama it might cause. She knew Kai was going to have something to say about her dating someone else , but if he's doing it she couldn't understand why she can't meet someone else.
Malik was a cool guy , but she didn't want to deal with possible baby mama drama she had enough of her own going on.

"Serene is on her way over here. I told her to come because I know she'll lift your spirits." Marilyn said hugging her.

"Thanks mom. I don't know what I'd do without you or her honestly." Jayde said wiping her face. Her eyes were bloodshot red but the crying finally calmed down when her best friend arrived.

"Hey my sistaaaa. I love you so much you know that right?" Serene said holding Jayde's face.

"Y-Yeah I know. I love you more." She said back.

"And you know you are the baddest , prettiest , smartest bitch out here. Sorry mama." Serene said once Marilyn scolded her for cursing in her house.
Jayde loved how Serene never judged her for her actions, although she'd call her out on her bullshit, she was a true best friend to her.

"I don't know bestie. I feel like he plays with my mind on purpose. If he had her all along why come back to me? Why did he tell me he missed me?" Jayde asked trying to not cry again.

"Because you keep leaving that door open Jay. You keep giving him chance after chance and he keeps showing you that you don't need that in you life." Marilyn said cleaning off the table that was filled with tissues.

"I told you what to do. Give Julian a chance , he seem like a cool guy." Serene said rubbing her best friend's back trying to soothe her. "You're gonna go to that wine tasting with him right?"

Jayde nodded , not really wanting to go anymore but she wanted to feel better and Julian did just that.
Jayde guess she talked him up because he was calling her phone via FaceTime.

"Shit. He's calling me. My hair is a mess. I look a mess!" Jayde squealed.

"Here pull it back in a ponytail and put this lipgloss on." Serene said digging in her purse handing her a hair tie and lipgloss.
