•Chapter 8

It was now going on a full week since Jayde talked to Kai. She put her mom in the middle of it because she just couldn't stand to see him or talk to him, so now Kai has to drop Jace off at her mom's and be picked up from there. Right when Jayde arrived , Kai was getting back into his car to leave but hadn't made a move since he seen her. He needed to talk to her.

"So you ain't speakin'?" He asked now leaning against his car watching her walk towards the house.

She kept walking as if he wasn't even there. The amount of anger she had was staggering, Jayde has never been this upset before. Usually when Kai did something foul towards her she'd forgive him and move on like nothing happened but right now she wanted to go off.

"Jayde!" He yelled walking behind her into her mother's house.

Marilyn stood there with Jace on her hip watching the two bicker like little kids. "Jayde talk to me man. You ain't speak to me in days!" He said grabbing her arm , making her drop the diaper bag to the floor.

"Kai watch it." Marilyn scolded him taking a seat in front of them to make sure nothing crazy happened.

"I'm sorry Mrs.Ali , can you please make her talk to me?" He pleaded.

"I don't have nothing to say to you. You're a liar!" Jayde yelled throwing the diaper bag his way. She was so short so it didn't reach far, it only hit his stomach.

"I didn't know she was pregnant. I found out the same time you did Jay I swear. I put this on my life." He held his hands up.

"I don't care. It's the fact that you was with me then ran right back to her in the same fucking week!"

Marilyn look at her daughter in shock that she really cussed not only in front of her , but Jace as well.
"Sorry mama." She said in an upset tone. Jayde was really disappointed in him but at the same time this is some typical shit Kai would do so she didn't know why this took her by surprise.

"Watch she gets rid of it like all the other girls did once she finds out what type of person you are!" Jayde yelled before getting up to grab her baby from her mom and leaving.
She couldn't stand the sight of him anymore. Moving forward Kai was dead to her.

On the way home Kai wouldn't stop calling or texting her phone but she'd ignore it all. She was really on the verge of blocking him but eventually he stopped.

Once Jayde got home , she ran her and Jace a bath, ate dinner; smothered pork chops , mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, then put him to bed. Pouring herself a another glass of wine , she decided to get in her bed and binge watch every movie she could on Netflix.

When she was on her third movie she got a call from Malik.
"Well look who the wind blew in. Hey Malik." Jayde smiled.

Her and Malik was really good friends. They didn't really have a romantic connection so they decided to kept it platonic.

"What's up Jay. I haven't spoke to you in a minute what's been good?" He said through the phone.

"Nothing really. Working and being a mommy of course. How's Kamille and Kasey?" Jayde asked.

"Being bad as hell. But nah , they with they moms for a few days. I missed my friend tho. What you doin tonight?" Malik said referring to her.

She looked at the clock that read 7:35pm and decided he should come over for a bit. "If you're not doing anything , you're welcome to come over to watch movies and drink wine with me." Jayde suggested.

"You know that don't sound too bad. You want me to bring snacks or something?" He asked.
She could hear it in his voice that he was smiling , and she was too.
