"I'm so happy for you sis! Now make sure you get some dick the next time you see him!" Serene yelled through the phone earning a laugh from Jayde.

She was telling her best friend how she met Malik and how they had a good time at the ice cream place. She hoped that he didn't forget to call her like he said he would. It was now Thursday and Jayde was on her way to drop Jace off at daycare because she had to come into work for a few hours.

"I will not be fuckin' him on the second link Serene that's disgusting!" She said. Although she wouldn't mind giving how fine he was.

"Me and Davon fucked on the first link and look where that got us!!" She laughed.

"Oh my god! I don't wanna hear thattt!" Jayde whined as she pulled into the parking lot of her job. "I'm just sayin bitch. Maybe it'll turn into something. But whatever you do , protect yourself and have fun sista!" Serene said kissing her through the phone.

"Alright sista I'll talk to you later girl! Bye" Jayde said before ending the call to go clock in.

Jayde had a successful day at work. Her mom wasn't there today other wise she would've told her about the guy Malik.

Before Jayde could get in the tub , her phone started ringing almost falling off the counter from the vibration. She didn't recognized the number, but still answered.

"Hello?"

"You have a collect call from-"

She rolled her eyes hoping that it was Malik , but it was her brother, Jaylen calling from jail.

"Yooo. Wassup baby sis?" His deep voice yelled through the phone. His background was super loud so she put him on speaker.

"Hey big bro! What's good?" She spoke back feeling the water of her bath that she was dying to get in.

"Nun much. I tried callin' mom , but I guess she sleepin or sum. What's been good witchu? Where's my neph at?" His voice roared with questions.

"I've been good can't complain. Jace is good too. He's sleep right now." She paced around her bedroom with the phone up to her mouth.

"I miss y'all man. I got six months left before they let me out man."

"And when that happens you need to get ya shìt together Jay. We can't have you back in there. Mama needs you , yo kids needs you and I do too." Jayde confessed.

He smacked his lips before speaking. "Man I know I know. Ima give these streets up. I can't risk losing y'all or vice verse ya understand?"

"Mhm. I do. I miss you big bro." She sat down with tears almost falling from her eyes . Jayde haven't seen her brother since she was 15. He's been locked up for killing his own dad over a drug deal gone wrong. Him and Jayde had different fathers. It took a while for their mom to forgive him for what he had done but over the time she learned to understand that the mama she laid next to every night was very dangerous. She thinks her son is too but she tried to protect him as much as she could before he went away.

" I miss you too baby girl. When I get out we gon throw a big ass party you hear me?" His voice was so excited.

She laughed wiping her eyes away so the tears won't fall trying to better her mood again. "Yeah I'm down for that."

"Aight cool. But it was good talkin' to you baby sis. I gotta go. Kiss Jace for me. I love you and tell mama I love her too."
He said after hearing the guard telling him his time was up.

"Okay Jaylen I love you too. Bye."
She ended the call the got undressed for her bath which was still steamy.
