Two Days Later , Serene was on her way home to LA , back to her family taking home $10,000 that Rick blessed her with after his time with her. She enjoyed their time but she really missed Davon and Spirit. Rick was only good for a good time , he didn't seem husband material to her but she couldn't stay away from him. She had her own money so it wasn't that , the sex was good but it wasn't that either. Serene made sure she took her birth control and plan b just to be on the safe side.

"Damn baby I missed you. I ain't know how much longer I could take with my fiancé being away from me." Davon said , hugging and planting kisses over her face before grabbing her bags.

"I missed y'all so much. Where Spirit?" She asked noticing the house was cleaned and quiet.

"I put her down for a nap. My mama just left after helping me with her while cleaned up this fuckin house since it was junky. But enough about us, how you doin my love? How was the business trip?" Davon asked grabbing her hips , kissing her once more.

"It was fun as hell. De'Arra made sure we had a good time." Serene said—partially lying.

"That's good. I know you been busy and tired lately from work and taking care of Spirit , but I wanna take you out this weekend."

"Awww , really? That's sweet of you. I could really use it." She said.

"Cool then it's a date." He kissed her lips , carrying her upstairs.

"Julian you're putting too much flour!" Jayde said as they were in Marilyn's kitchen learning how to bake a cake. Jayde's brother Jaylen would be coming home from prison and Jayde and her mom wanted to throw him a party.

"This how my grandma Rosie made it. Watch out girl." He said trying to add more flour , "Well that's not how we're going to make it today." She said taking some flour and smacked it across his face. "See you playin' you need to stop." He grabbed some and smacked her now they were having a full blown flour fight.

He grabbed her hands from picking up more flour , picked her up and flung her over his shoulder. "Ju put me down!" She laughed. "No. Not until you say sorry." He said slapping her booty.

"I'm sorry. Put me down." She begged.

Marilyn was walking through the door with Julian's mom and the kids, looking at the two playing around. "What are you two doing?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I was trynna teach her how to bake a cake Mrs.Ali , but she didn't want to listen." He said shoving her playfully then taking the extra bags for them.
"Leave that up to me , he don't know what he doin'." Julian's mom said whispered to Jayde.

"What was that ma?" He said watching the two giggle at him.
"Oh nothin son, I said I'll help you let me see the progress you made." Angela said going into the kitchen seeing the mess they both made.
"Oh- I see I have to start from scratch." She rolled her eyes , grabbing the fresh ingredients.

"That ain't like how Grandma Rosie made it?" Julian asked with a confused expression.
Angela hit his chest , "Don't ever disrespect my mama. I bet she turnin' in her grave at this mess."

Julian walked out the kitchen with shame, going to sit in the living room with Jayde and their kids. "Hey pretty mama." He cooed at Serenity who was waking up from her nap.

"She should be hungry. Julian do you mind going to fix her bottle?" Marilyn asked.

"Yea. I got it. Daddy got it." He said getting back up to make the bottle.

Marilyn stared at Jayde as she rocked her baby. "What's wrong mom?"

"Is he planning on marrying you?" She asked.
