(Song: Part goddess part gangster~ Madalen Duke)
Aresu stared up at the pretty face.
Her slim frame alone seemed to block all the light that had warmed the atmosphere before. It was freezing cold suddenly.
Lips twisted up to a bright smile, eyes surrounded by black liner.
She was in fact very pretty but somehow Aresu sensed her fake-ness.
Something was odd.
And her gut once again pointed it out at her.
And she could rely on it!
Her hunches grew bigger and bigger, the longer the girl smiled down at them.
The girl had dark hair that was pin-straight, wore a bright necklace with a golden lion on it. Her white shirt revealed her enormous chest, while being cut so short that her flat stomach looked out from underneath. Her long blue Jeans were baggy and fit perfectly to her slim posture. She wore white boots and golden chains hung around her waist.
"Hey!" The girl said again, hair now falling down her left shoulder like a waterfall.
So incredibly soft...
Almost angel-like she pinned it behind her ear and tilted her head.
The dark hair seemed to be made out of silk.
"What are you doing here, Rafe? I though we agreed on meeting at the front door?" Her voice sounded like dark bells, mourning the death of an angle. It was beautiful.
"I told you I'm not coming." Aresu felt Rafe tensing up next to her. He was practically becoming stiff and uncomfortable.
And Aresu felt him shifting a bit away from her shoulder. They no longer sat as close as before and Grisu had to raise her head from her rest on his shoulder.
"You said: Kay," the girl said an chuckled. It was a hollow sound, like waves shattering on cliffs.
"I did not," he grunted and glanced at Grisu.
"And who are you?" Aresu asked, trying to tame the jealousy that wanted to get a hold on her.
Don't be like Othello! She scolded herself and bit down on her lip.
"Your necklace is pretty," Grisu added to soften her tone.
"Thanks a lot. And I'm Avarine. Who are you?" Her smile seemed less fake.
"Aresu."
The girl nodded, darkness once again creeping up into her brown eyes, making them look deep and vicious.
"And what are you two?" Avarine teased and touched Rafe's cheek.
Othello seemed to crawl back up again and was only satisfied when Grisu pushed back the girls hand.
"We're together," she stated and glared at her through deep green eyes.
"Right now? I can see that," he girl said and smiled cheekily. Her dimples making her look cute in contrast to the fierce statement she just gave.
"We're in a relationship," Grisu said and got a little uneasy because Rafe said nothing, nor moved.
"That's funny," the girl said and side-eyed Rafe.
"What's funny?"
"Well. Don't mind. Another funny thing is your accent, where are you from, shorty?"
"Germany," Aresu said and felt taken aback. Her accent was not that noticeable. Did she speak that badly?
Her self-consciousness slipping slightly.
"Ah. That's why," Averine said and tapped Rafe's shoulder.
"You promised you'd help me, though," she said to him and held up a hand to him.
"Come on. You promised me, Babe."
"Oh yeah? Well, why don't you go fu-"
And Aresu's inner Othello screamed out loud when he actually gripped her hand and stood up, leaving her sitting there, already missing the warmth he provided to her left side.
Not that the sun wasn't enough, but she already felt the cold slipping in.
"You're actually going with her?" She said, not able to control the fierce fire in her voice.
"Yea. I'll be back before the break ends."
"O-okay?"
And so she was left behind, sitting on the bench confused and stunned.
What the fuck?
I mean she was totally fine with him going with another girl... I mean she didn't have to like his female friends, she just needed to accept them...
But who was that? She'd never seen her before, and her eyes seemed to glow so fake—gosh Aresu already hated her.
Why did he keep secrets from her?
So...the message from yesterday was from her?Looking at the iced coffee Rafe left behind, she grunted slightly and punched the juice-box over, the little remaining coffe spilling onto the green table.
She hated that feeling...
Maybe she was overreacting?
She most probably was, I mean how couldn't she?
That Ava-girl just needed Rafe's help and Rafe had forgotten, easy peasy.
Before that, they had sat together in silence and happiness...
And that f*** b*** had destroyed that...
well f— her.
Aresu laid her forehead onto the wood and sighed heavily (obviously onto the space beside the spilled coffee).
Those feelings were completely unfair.
Rafe dealt with her problems with JJ daily... hell and JJ had even kissed her.
That must've hurt even worse.
Nah, Grisu was fine and would NOT—DEFINITELY NOT give in to the small Othello in her heart.
Nopy-nope.The break ended and Rafe did not come back.
Fuck it.The original name of that girl was Miriam, then akleoo asked me to call her Ava to make it fit to the song "Ava" by Natalie Jane.
And there you go, a new Ava/ Miriam is born.
