Covid

Now we are in permanent lockdown, Beau moved in with one of her friends, their parents are tutors for subjects and therefore we agreed that she gets tutored but has her best friend Ava with her at all times. I did feel lonely, mostly because Leah and I hadn't spoken in the last week. I had Bailey though, he was a great support. Although me and Leah had been speaking rather vaguely, she hadn't spoken to me at all, probably because she's now stuck with me and we don't know when this will be over.

I get out of bed and look at my phone.

Dad: I miss you. Speak to me soon yeah?

"Fuck sake" I say to myself.
I go downstairs and get myself some cereal, I sit at the kitchen island and watch Bailey in the back garden, I finish and wash my dish.

It was time for me to do my training, arsenal had put together a programme for us to do ourselves whilst in lockdown.

The first exercise was 30 minutes on an exercise bike. I go into the small gym I had in one of the spare rooms that I had no idea to do with when I moved in so put gym equipment in there. I put my AirPods in and start listening to music. Bailey comes in the room and lies down in his bed.

The 30 minutes were over and the next thing was running on a treadmill for 5 minutes. I do that and I go upstairs to take a shower. I change into some Nike pro shorts and a lion king hoodie. I go downstairs and put my sweaty clothes in the washing machine and take Bailey on a walk. When I come back Leah is sat in the kitchen.

I put my clothes into the dryer so they are dried for tomorrow. I sit outside and phone Beau "hey, everything going well?" I ask
"Yeah, I'm actually learning things and me and Ava get to be with each other"
"I'm sorry I'm going to miss your 14th, what do you want. I can drop it off at one point hopefully" I say
"Just like perfume or some clothes. I don't mind really"
"Okay, we'll I'll see you sometime next week. Love you beau"
"Love you"

The call ends and I go inside. Leah's eating some cereal, I make a coffee and say "do you want one?"
She looks up from her phone and says "okay"
I put hers in-front of her and then I get a call it was Beth. "Hey Beth" I say and walk out the room.
"How's you and Leah?"
"Well how do you think, she never speaks to me"
"Maybe she's hiding something from you"
"What do you mean?" I ask curiously
"Ask her, she'll tell you"
"I swear down Beth, if this is one of your pranks your finished"
"It's not, it's called bonding time. Trust me."
"Fine but your staying on the phone"
"Alright"
I go into the kitchen and put beth on speaker.

"Apparently you have something you need to tell me" I say to Leah
"Me?" She asks confused
"Beth said you did"
"Beth what did i need to tell her?" Leah asks
"Leah don't act stupid, you know exactly what you need to tell her. Remember you called me last night and said something" Beth says down the phone
I look at Leah and she says "it's nothing important, it can wait"
"Tell me, please" I say
"Beth your dead for this I hope you know" Leah says to her, Beth replies with a laugh.
"Tell me" I say
"I sorta like someone"
"Seriously this is what you want to tell me" I say
"It doesn't matter then, I won't tell you" she says and stands up.
I run towards her and grab her hand, "hey tell me"
"No it doesn't matter"
"Please"
I can just hear beth laughing. Then I hear a beep which is beth requesting to FaceTime. I go over and accept it.

"Can I guess" I say
"go on then I want to see this" beth says
"Jordan" I say
"No, god no. We are so over" Leah says
"Who then" I ask
"No I can't say, Beth shut your gob" Leah says, she goes to walk off but I grab her arm and pull her back, our eyes create contact.
