Death

I sat in the kitchen with a cup of coffee in my hand untouched. I just looked down at it, as if it was going to do something magical. I look up and Leah stood near the sink washing the kettle. I look back down at the mug and I see a tear fall into it. I couldn't hide the feelings now, it was too raw to be able to do that. My phone starts ringing but I just leave it, I didn't even want to see who was calling me.

Leah comes round and sits next to me. She grabs my hand and says "it's going to be okay?"
I don't answer and look down at my coffee again, she lets go of my hand and I start playing with the ring on it. "By the way it was Rafa who called you before"
I still don't answer and pick up my phone. I see another message.

Messages
Johnny: I can't tell beau. Can you?
Harry: you seriously don't care about this family do you? Show some respect bitch.
Arthur: are you taking the fucking piss. Our dads died and the best you can do is not care. Get over yourself!
Mam: hey beautiful, I'm wanting to speak to you. Call me soon yeah?
Melissa: hey, I've just heard about your dad. I'm sorry, remember my doors always open x

The last two messages made me slightly smile, but the fact I had to tell beau broke me even more.
I put my phone down leaving it on my messages. I see Leah taking a quick glance at them. I stand up and go to see Bailey. "Hey boy, want to come see Beau with me"
He stands up and I look at Leah and then leave, I message Beau.

Messages:
Hey, beau. I'm on my way now with bails. I need to tell you something meet me at the local park x

I get there and she's sat on a bench, she greets Bailey. "Have you been crying" she asks me
"Um yeah" I say
"Why"
"I understand you will be sad, but. Urm- yeah"
"What?"
"Dads passed away" I say
"How?"
"Drugs I guess" I reply
She sits in silence, eventually we get to Ava's. "Can you get Ava's mam for me?"
She goes in and I see a women stand at the door "hey Claire, just wanting to let you know. I've just told beau her dads died, if she's upset please message me" I say
"Oh, are you okay"
"Yeah. I just wanted to let her know, thanks. I better get going"

I get home and see Leah suddenly appear. I immediately run up to her and hug her.  She hugs me back.
