My love

3 weeks old

Mason has settled in nice at home, Leah goes back to training today. I'm going to go with her and take Mason, although I don't play for arsenal, my wife does and my best friends play there. I get up at 6:30 and see Mason is starting to wake up, i breastfeed him before going into his room and getting him changed into some tracksuit bottoms and a matching top. I go downstairs and take him with me, i put him in his travel cot we put downstairs so when we are in the kitchen he can go there.

I eat some cereal, Leah comes downstairs and goes straight over to see him. She plays with him and starts spinning him round like he's on an aeroplane. "If he's sick your cleaning it, I fed him like 15 minutes ago" I say slightly laughing
"He will be fine" she says and quickly puts him against her chest and starts swaying.

"Mase, you ready to go see all your mummy's friends" Leah says to him.
He smiles at her, which makes my heart melt. "I love you too my baby" she says to him
I finish eating and I put him in his car seat in the back. I sit next to him just to make sure he's okay. Leah drives to London Colney, we arrive and I say "I'll follow you in, say we don't have him to make them surprised"
"Love you" she says to me and kisses me. She kisses masons cheek. Then walks in.

"Right come on mase, please be quiet and don't cry" I say to him
I lift him out of his car seat and say "your getting big my boy"
I hold him to my chest and grab his small bag in case he needs changing.

I walk in and see one of the staff members, "hi stacey" I say.
"Is this Mason?" She asks and comes closer
"Yes this is him" I say
"Aren't you a cute boy" she says laughing "Jonas is just delivering a meeting. Did Leah tell him?" She asks
"I don't know actually" I say
"I can ask him if you like" she says
"No it's fine, I'm sure Leah has I'll just wait for a bit until the meeting is done" I say
"Alright, we'll see you guys around" she says and walks off.
I wait for 10 minutes before going to the meeting room. One of the members of staff walk out "you ready" he says to me.
"Always" I say
"I missed you here" he says
"Yeah, well you definitely helped me to advance in football so thanks mick" I say
"No problem, Jonas is ready, he's gone over everything and is pretending to act as if we have a game change or something" he says laughing.
"Okay thank you" I say
Mick walks in and holds the door open. "Hey guys" I say
Gio is first over and she hugs me from the side. "He's so cute" she says to me
"Can I hold him" Beth asks
"Yeah just make sure he's supported" I reply

I hand him over and Leah stands next to me. "He's getting heavy" I say
"And exhausting" she replies
I hug her and Beth comes over "where is he?" I ask as I notice she doesn't have him.
"Viv has him" she replies

"So, how was it?" Beth asks
"Ur, very painful. Like it still hurts sometimes, I wake up with pains now and then but not very often. But he goes to sleep early but wakes up like 6:30 in the morning" I say
"Shock to the system ey?" Beth says
"Just slightly" I reply laughing
"That's what babies are, annoying kids and they don't really stop being annoying as they grow up. Especially since it came from you two" she jokes
"Hey" Leah says
"Sorry, I saw the opportunity so I took it" she says
"Oh my god, that's a TikTok sound how addicted are you?" I ask laughing
"What about you?" She replies
"I have an excuse" I say
"Fair enough" she says

Jonas comes over and says "he's very cute"
"Thanks Jonas" I say
"They get easier, right now isn't even their worst. It's when their teeth start growing in and it's painful" he explains
"Yeah, I can imagine" Leah replies
Viv comes over and hands him to me. "Hey mase" I say to him. He looks like he's about to cry, I hand him to Leah she rocks him and calms him down. "Having any more soon?" Teyah asks me
"Not this year anyway" I say laughing

"It's so cool, that like your now a mum" she says
"You will be one day" I say
"I don't know, Gio doesn't want kids but I really want one" she says
"She'll come round to the idea, look at her with Mason. I can tell she loves him and I'm sure she will want one when she's finished with football. It's only early days, so you never know" I say
"Yeah, I know" Teyah says to me

I walk over to Leah "is he sleeping?" I ask
"Nearly there" she replies
"Do you have any milk in a bottle" she says
"Yeah" I reply
I get it out of his bag and hand it to Leah. "Can I feed him please?" Beth almost begs Leah. "He's not a lamb or a goat you know, he is a human" Leah says, before giving her Mason.

"Have you been to see your Chelsea teammates?" Kim asks me
"Nah, not yet" I reply
"Do you even like it there?" She asks
"Yeah, but it doesn't feel like my home. This place does, but Chelsea is such a good club and I've made friends there, I guess it's just taking time to settle in" I say
"What almost a year?" Kim asks
"I guess" I reply
She rubs my shoulder before going over to Jonas.

Alessia comes next to me, me and Alessia hadn't fully met. She played with Leah alongside the lionesses, but I've never played for England before. So I never met her, she joined a couple days before I left so we became sort of friends but not much.

"Why did you choose Mason?" She asks me
"Leah liked the name, I agreed with it. It was just like something we both agreed on" I say
"You sound nervous around me" alessia says
"Sorry, it's just we don't know each other much" I say
"Yeah I know, but I'm willing to know each other. Like not in that way because I know you have a wife. I'm sorry I've made this so awkward" she says
"Don't worry, we all have those moments, I know what you mean" I say
"Aren't you English? How come I've never seen you play with us" she says
"I play for the Brazilian team, my mams Brazilian" I say
"And your dad?" She says
"Yeah he's English, but he died" I say
"I'm sorry" she says
"I'm not, kinda saved me in a way I guess" I say

Leah comes over "ready to go" she says
"I can take him, you go and train" I say to Leah
"No, it's fine, I'll be missing the game anyway this week so theirs no point. I'll just start fresh next week"
"You sure?" I ask
"Yes"
